I'd caution against trusting WV at their word. They have a history of either getting info/scoops outright incorrect, or running with a company-fed line for misdirection. Same as Cory Hays at Bodyslam/PWNexus
ChatGPT-ass article.

That's actually who I was anticipating. For the love of god do not give me the book for New Japan
There was a quick rumor that this meant the NXT-TNA alliance was dissolving, but Jon Alba of SI has debunked this already.
It's not a total win for wrestling at the macro-level -- the best possible outcome would be if TNA were completely unaffiliated with WWE going into the new deal. 3 major companies with 3 stable TV deals, working independently of each other, would breed the healthiest possible outcome.
I'd argue this is a *little bit* more thought out compared to past answers about MIA talent.
Especially compared to his recent Jericho answer, which leads me to believe he's supa gone
Dax Harwood is lowkey one of the most reliable singles wrestlers around. Back during his run when Cash was hurt he had banger after banger with a wide variety of wrestlers. For all of FTR's contentious reputation they see their job as making the other guys look good. 🤼
hendry is the most "oh he gone" wrestler in wrestling free agency rn.

Who has sent feedback to HBO and TBS and demanded they STOP showing ICE recruitment ads during #AEWDynamite?
🙋♀
fuck ice airing commercials during dynamite, let em know:

It's not too bad rn, AEW just needs to wait it out. WWE is almost out of silver bullets to pop discourse:
- AJ Lee debut
- Lesnar (gross)
- Cena
- maybe Roman
All of these legacy draws either have been used up or are on a ticking clock. They better start positioning Rhea as a Mania closer soon.

Ayo that wasn't nasty, that's a straight up botch. Your head's not supposed to land perpendicular to the mat on a ligerbomb.

a portrait of David Attenborough staring at me, promoting his exhibition at the museum. he is 99 years old. the thing was very good and i enjoyed it thoroughly.
i have attended and paid my respects at church today (depicted). i have also been damned to find that chappell roan is performing a short train ride away but i am one ga ticket too late. life is peculiar; lush with joy, pain, and contradiction. forbidden door on ppv sunday.
This feels a little weird. Peacock had exclusivity running through 2026, and apparently now there's a quota WWE needed to hit before they could move to ESPN?
Idk, seems more likely that WWE bought out the rest of the NBC contract and don't want the public to know they did it to get out early.
🤼
You underestimate just how stupid TV execs are unfortunately
Source on them wanting to start the deal early and getting stonewalled? Not that I disbelieve you, this is just the first I've heard of potential friction between NBC and WWE (aside from the whole NBC didn't bid on PLEs thing for Peacock being a bellwether)
Sasha Banks is showing up at the Rumble aaaaaany minute now.
(Jericho is known to talk to Meltzer this is true, but Jericho likely wouldn't get paid as much by WWE, nor have the influence that he does in AEW. Bet on him re-signing imo)
(And sorry for deadnaming Mercedes for a punch-line ☹️)

The primary motivator is wrestlers' salaries and the overall talent budget. TKO's modus operandi has been to severely underpay their fighters for UFC thanks to their monopoly on MMA. That's not possible for wrestling with AEW existing. Any leverage wrestlers have in negotiating pay hurts TKO.

Konosuke Takeshita is the future of wrestling. A prodigy that puts on star making performances night after night. He deeply cares about wrestling & NJPW specifically. This is literally his boyhood dream. I need y’all to stop being gatekeeper assholes & let the Cinnabae bring you into a golden age.
Night Gallery Los Angeles Presents:

It’s official now. First solo exhibition in a gallery. Opening September 27th - October 18th
Displaying 8 new paintings made this year for the public to view in person.
Any time I caught one of their tag matches, especially in NXT, they were sharp. Incredibly tight with their timing, shades of MCMG imo. One of the most unique teams I remember watching, men's or women's division.
Again, it'll come down to if they're serious about a post-WWE run
If Tony Khan is serious about plans for a women's tag division for AEW, he's gotta kick the tires on a KC2 run (if they're serious about wrestling beyond WWE). They were a *wildly* entertaining tandem, like they had a genuinely fantastic team-based offensive style
We shall see. I'm keeping an eye on her though, I can see maybe one more contract she'll sign with WWE just to ensure a main roster stint (if she doesn't get there in the next year), but it's fair game from that point on
Off the top of my head: Rhea, Iyo, Tiffy Stratton, Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia (though her situation seems weird if rumors in the joshi circles I've come across are true...), Liv Morgan, and Roxanne. Good luck to Blake trying to supplant all them to be the top champ (with good creative along the way)
There are few things on my mind with her: it'll depend on how *she* feels about the creative she's been given so far. I think it's been bad (body-shaming Jordynne Grace? Really?) but if she thinks it's money then welp. And second, there's a bottleneck of women's talent in WWE currently ahead of her.
1) She did perfect business on the way out, including some "unplanned" moments attacking Toni out in the wild when she didn't need to/could've said no
2) She strikes me as someone protective of her booking. If WWE doesn't give her great material to work with, look out. That's my hot take at least

Currently untitled project.

A little over a month until my solo exhibition opens at Night Gallery in Los Angeles. Locking in hard for the next and final piece.
Mike Johnson in shambles.
(I don't know what's worse: the fact that they were so certain they were right and refused to acknowledge any other scenario as a journalist, or they were possibly in the know and played deflection for WWE playing the role of shoot reputable source for this angle)
1) She was talking about her own posts in which she was deliberately misleading since she clearly knew from the get; it's a kayfabe comment and not a shot at dirtsheets
2) Meltzer and John Polluck nailed it anyway calling it a work from the get
