I am pretty much the same across board. I think there is something about the authenticity too, like Gillian is a 100% dyed in the wool head, went on to success in her own right, but these tunes are in her bone marrow, just like they are in mine. Nothing about it seems opportunistic or cash grabby

I have felt this way about these two doing dead covers for years though, this is just kind of the culmination of that. Like the Brokedown Palace for Phil’s passing, that was absolutely the best tribute, just beautiful.

Like I guess Rawlings and Welch doing these songs isn’t for everyone, but brothers and sisters it sure is for me

Like nobody captures the pain and heartache in these songs anymore quite like these two.

I really hope Welch and Rawlings do some more reckoning shows at some point. I couldn’t swing any of these (barring a last minute midweek mission to New Orleans) but I think they are just tops. So many chills. There is something about their dead covers, lovingly rendered.

All three are very nice, I think I would go with the tank though. Would be between that and the reverso. Tank would win out for me as just being a true classic design. The reverso is also, just, for me, not at the level of the tank.

also I broke my strict no video during shows rule for myself for this, couldn't resist, as I wasn't sure would ever again have the experience of looking over Jeremiah Chiu's shoulder and watching him pilot the ship.
