I wasn’t able to watch the #SuperBowl live as I had to work. I believe it’s the first time I miss it since the 80s. Two days later and I haven’t seen any clips of the actual game or any talk of the commercials. My feeds have been all about the half time show—which I’ve rewatched so many times!

I was driving away from my neighborhood via a backroad when a Blue Heron flew over from behind a big tree. It seemed to be flailing & in distress. I slowed down & saw why. A hawk was harassing it. When the hawk stopped & flew away, two crows started to attack it. They must be friends with the heron.
He received it in the mail 20 days after submitting the renewal application. I just thought that was cool.
My dad renewed his expired US passport last month. The renewal process was done entirely online. Uploaded his photo, chose just the book, normal process, and paid the fees. The time given for him to receive his new passport was 6-8 weeks.
I drove through Watsonville, CA today and all of Main St., is lined up with chairs. People have staked their spots for tomorrow’s Spirit of Watsonville 4th of July Parade.
I think this might a first in the history of lottery draws. Tonight's winning numbers for California's Fantasy 5, a lottery game with smaller jackpots, were 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20. It produced 27 jackpot winners!
He had to rush home because he suffers from parcopresis.
So you're telling me that the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, or her people, don't recognize Senator Padilla, who is a ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, and Border Safety?
Remember when Trump said this, "Get out – you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote." By sending in the military into cities, he's setting up the stage for this to happen. www.theguardian.com/us-news/arti...
he's setting the stage where the Republican-led congress may postpone the next election.
I was reminded of what Trump said on the campaign trail, "Get out – you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote." By him escalating this manufactured crisis and putting boots on the ground in US cities,
It looks like his MAGA base has turned on Elon as well. They won't buy this car. If he really wanted to make a statement he would send it to a junk yard and have it crushed.
For example, a paper map from 1994 titled "Road Map to the Internet" from PC Computing is selling for $1,350 and another for $550. I have the MacUser version of it in perfect condition. I'm going to list it and some other stuff too. 3/3
Most of the items sell just for a few bucks. However, the market is saturated with these items and no one seems to be buying. On the other hand, the computer and internet-related items are priced higher. I'm like "holy moly!" 2/x
I've been going through boxes of items I've had since the 1980s. Toys, sports cards, comics, magazines, ticket stubs, souvenirs, coins, pc peripherals, and whatnot. Out of curiosity, I looked for some of these items on eBay to see if there's a market for them. 1/x
Got this mug for free.
I’m at the new Micro Center in Santa Clara, CA. The official grand opening is on Friday, but they’re open now. There’s a long line full of old and young nerds waiting to go inside. It seems everyone that misses them from their previous stint here in the valley, and also Fry’s Electronics, is here.
I finally bought a converter to digitize VHS tapes--most of which were recorded by my late mother. I have many to go through, so I've been playing with it these last few days. Here’s an example of one of the videos I took when I was a teenager: Cinco de Mayo Parade from 1989 youtu.be/z1AdBstiwxA
Tomorrow is SF Transit Operator Day. I'm calling on everyone in San Francisco to ride Muni tomorrow. There is no better way to show love and appreciation for the workers who move the people of the City than to board our buses, trains, streetcars, and cable cars. www.sftransitoperator.day
I’m surprised they haven’t detained Zelensky in order to hand him over to Putin. I wouldn’t put it past Trump.
I just noticed that it's been ten years since I posted a video that went viral. I posted the video at night and woke up to a wild day. youtu.be/XTfqVQ1n5P4?...
Before we had food delivery services like DoorDash/UberEats, how was it that only pizza restaurants offered delivery service? How did it become an expectation from them?
I finally got access to #DeepSeek. I asked it what the weather will be like for the next five days for my zip code and the response was to look it up on a weather app. I entered the same prompt in #ChatGPT and it gave me the current conditions and the forecast for the next five days.
I get the feeling that those who oppose DEI don’t understand its intended purpose. They think it’s only race-based. They also seem to confuse it with the Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action programs. Two other programs they don’t understand as well.
Signing up for #DeepSeek requires using an email in my region. It’s supposed to send one a verification code to continue with the registration process, but I never receive it. Anyone else experiencing this?
This brings back memories of when Hot 97.7, KSOL, KOME, and KSJO (radio stations here in the San Francisco Bay Area) ended.
TikTok’s ban has taken effect. Even though I have an account, I hardly posted and rarely opened the app. So it’s no biggie to me. However it’s a huge deal to my two daughters. I empathize with them as I equate this to the old days when one’s favorite radio station was taken off the air.
Ah. So that's the vehicle I saw driving up O'Shaughnessy Blvd.
I'm revisiting Bluesky since I signed up now that there seem to be more users and activity. My search for accounts to follow begins.
