I'll be doing more events in late summer/autumn 2026 and I'll share the details as soon as I have them. But I can't wait to get out there and talk to readers about The Knight Watch. If you haven't already, you can pre-order it here!

And finally on the 9th of July I'll be up in Leeds for a delightfully chaotic panel with @rjbarker.bsky.social @sarahreesbrennan.bsky.social and @rflong.bsky.social which I'm very much looking forward to

On the 8th of July I'll be down in London for an event at Waterstones Putney - we're still working out some of the kninks with that one, so stay tuned for further details
Then it's back to Manchester for the official launch party at @blackwellsmcr.bsky.social in conversation with the excellent @caimhmc.bsky.social - my friends and family will be snapping up tickets for this one very quickly, so make sure you book early!

First things first, in May, I'll be a guest at La Comédie du Livre in Montpellier, discussing the French translation of Perilous Times! French readers have been going feral over it and I can't wait to meet some of them

Coming soon to a bookshop near you - some very smart and wonderful people will be asking me questions about my new book THE KNIGHT WATCH, a cathartic queer Arthurian Nazi-killing romp set during WWII
Thank you! ☺️
PASSED MY VIVA!!!!!!
This is the sort of thing I dream about doing, if I'm ever actually megabucks successful with this whole 'writing books' thing
Time to bring out the Temu Guillotines
He might look outwardly calm but there's murder in those eyes. I'd better wait until you're back in town.
Or I could lay siege to it while I know you're away in London...
Good news - I'll be back in Leeds again for the Order Out of Chaos panel on the 9th of July!

Can't wait to chair this exciting panel in Leeds - interviewing @fondalee.bsky.social @halalltakeaway.bsky.social and AS Tamaki as part of their UK tour lineup!
Some extremely exciting news to finish off the week! I can’t wait to work with @solarisbooks.bsky.social and @alrutter.bsky.social to bring SHARDS OF STARLIGHT to you in Fall 2027!
Interestingly 'impeach' comes from the Old French empeechier "to hinder, stop, impede; capture, ensnare", derived from the Latin impedicare "to fetter, catch, entangle." If you go back far enough it means 'shackle' and 'foot'. So it means to trap somebody, give them the boot and lock them up.
Famously when the Nazis bombed Britain in WWII it resulted in the British people rising up and overthrowing Winston Churchill
“You’re alienating half of your audience by being political”
Motherfucker, my “audience” is people who aren’t pieces of shit, who care about others. That’s who I make stuff for.
There is no “other half”.
This guy
Give blood if you can! It's desperately needed, and they give you biscuits afterwards.
The word bank is also closed on bank holidays
Here's the pre-order link for my second novel THE KNIGHT WATCH about the Knights of the Round Table killing Nazis during the Second World War. It's also about Isolde trying to build a new afterlife for herself and Tristan learning how to stop being such a loser.

If this is the future of going on submission, I only want to sell on proposal 💀
This. I don't secretly use AI when I write, because I'm not a talentless hack. But even if I didn't write books for a living I still wouldn't use AI, because I don't want to diminish an essential part of my humanity and outsource it to a machine. We're supposed to strive and fail and learn and grow.
I have not, do not, and will not use AI.
Those who use AI are not writers (artists, etc) they're thieves, cheats, and plagiarists.
They have no more written a book than someone who's got in an Uber has run a marathon.
Apparently people are now claiming that 'all writers secretly use AI'.
To be clear: I don't use AI because I'm actually a writer. I am good at what I do & would never need word salad machine to do any of it.
People using it are not writers. They are playacting. They are children in a Wendy house.
You don’t need AI, you need a critique group that meets every month or so, trades stories, and gives feedback. Or even a mentor. You know: a HUMAN you talk to, who knows the right advice to give because they are also a writer and have been where you are. *Stop talking to a bot*.
A graphic featuring a headshot of author Lindz McLeod (a white person with blonde hair wearing round glasses and a floral shirt) alongside the UK cover of THE UNLIKELY PURSUIT OF MARY BENNET.
As if getting married 3 days ago wasn't enough excitement, I'm beyond honoured and thrilled to announce that THE UNLIKELY PURSUIT OF MARY BENNET—a tender, heartfelt book I wrote for my now-wife—is a finalist for the Debut award at the #ronas26
What a wild week. I must be dreaming ❤️
