Love the poster - one of the best Fall albums. I went to the Hacienda and St Albans gigs. At St Alban's, I remember the band coming on stage with no drummer and then Karl Burns making his way from the back of the hall, through the crowd, climbing up onto the stage and starting to play. Pretty cool.

Gave the new King Hannah song a few listens yesterday and, no surprises, it's really good. My other half hates it which is another strong mark of approval.

train cancelled because of short-notice change to timetable
Why do Northern Rail keep using this as an explanation for train cancellations ??? It makes no sense. The short notice timetable change is a result of the cancellation - not the cause. The number of trains they cancel is embarrassing.

How is this even legal? Front gardens will soon be a thing of the past too with fence to fence driveways becoming the new norm. Some new restrictions to help preserving nature/wildlife would be a good start but there doesn't seem to be any political will.

TTSSFU blew me away supporting English Teacher at The Ritz on Thursday. Beautiful voice and great melodies - genuine earworms. First time I'd heard them but have been making up for lost time since :-)
