🌍Today is Ireland's Overshoot Day. If the rest of the world consumed like Ireland since Jan 1st, the Earth would run out of resources on Apr 14th.
Last year, this date was May 17th.
This is not just! The climate crisis is happening NOW, and is impacting families in Ireland & around the world.

I look forward to the day no-one cares about the price of oil
I should add: Burgum was specifically applauding Trump’s deal to pay an offshore wind developer $1 billion to abandon its project and invest in oil and gas instead.
Ans the refinery explosion hours later sent gas prices soaring and forced nearby residents to shelter in place.

Shocking remarks. Could only be made by someone who believes themselves insulated from the effects of the climate emergency and so doesn't see it as an emergency. It puts it up to Merz to repudiate this stance.
So the EU has now swapped one dangerous gas dependency for another. It needs an emergency plan to get off fossil fuels.
Another reminder why every energy choice should be a choice to stop using fossil fuels.

The amount of oil Ireland imports has hardly moved since 2009. Now has to be the time to make a decisive shift and break this oil dependency.
