This week, Caring Communities held an orientation session with Avita, the newest edition to our mail-order pharmacy program. Hilary and Noah from Avita provided our staff with an overview of their program and answered questions about how the pharmacy would work with our agency.
Today, I attended HRSA’s monthly “HAB You Heard Webinar.” This month’s meeting focused on a variety of topics including public health workforce projections and the latest information on the upcoming 2026 Ryan White Conference on HIV Care and Treatment.
Last week, I met with Tammi from the Victims Resource Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA to discuss the services they offer to men, women, adolescents and children who are victims of crime. A productive conversation that will hopefully lead to more collaboration!
As the new semester begins, Caring Communities joined Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg, PA for a Safer Sex Trivia Night! Students had fun testing their knowledge, learning important safer sex strategies, and walking away with prevention materials to help keep themselves and their partners healthy!
Today, I participated in the virtual presentation called “USCHA 2025 Breaking Barriers: Community-Based Care for TGNC Mental Health,” which was put on at this year’s U.S. Conference on AIDS.
Caring Communities had a great time meeting attendees of the 2025 AIRE PrideAPalooza in Bloomsburg, PA! We offered plenty of pride-related giveaways while educating people about our HIV and reproductive health services and offering HIV testing at the venue. Looking forward to next year!
