It's tough when your in school to consider anything besides "I want to be X when I grow up." Then it hits you hard when all the doors are closed and you scramble to find something else.

I feel this is pushing new writers into becoming something like a content creator. They have to build a sizable following to run a successful Kickstarter. That is your only hope of making more than just beer money.

I know this is trite, but its important to touch up your appearance before going on camera or showing up in-person. Those first few seconds are critical for how the interviewer will regard you during your conversation.

If you make it to final interview you are sure to hear of the outcome. In contrast, do not expect to hear back if your resume is rejected. Do not take this personally!
