Just to correct myself here, Beau Greaves qualified for the last world champs through the development tour, which is an open event. Only the 2nd woman to qualify that way.

Well Greaves is currently ranked 101st! She'll be first to break the top 100 for sure.

All three qualified for the WC through the women's series (because the PDC *wants* more women in the top tournaments)

van Leuvan has competed in the last 2 World Champs and went out in the 1st round
Fallon Sharrock is the only woman to get past the 1st round in the world champs.
Beau Greaves, far and away the best women's player RN, also went out 1st round, but she's the 1st woman I've seen who could be really good

There aren't any men's events in darts, all the top tournaments - up to and including the world championships - are open. Van Leuven can continue to play in those, as she did this year, as long as she qualifies.
