Anyway, funny you mention the altar; a lot of ships in my setting do have chapels that allow magicians to perform spells for ship-scale things.

I've done room layouts in Blender, but then I kinda get stumped about the outside structure and how it should look. I tell most people to imagine "cubist glass sculptures," but converting that into something spaceship-like is outside of my grasp, currently.

Thanks! The main two points I feel I'm lacking are: I want these structures to feel monolithic and alien, since they're made from extraplanar material, and I'm having trouble making them look like they can actually contain the rooms they're said to have, if that makes sense.

ugh I cannot for the life of me figure out how I want spaceships to look in my setting. So frustrating. I had some designs but they don't feel satisfying looking back on them.
