After a flood:
🔹Do not enter flooded basements/buildings. Always assume electrical equipment/wiring is energized until we’ve confirmed safe disconnection
🔹Call us any time at 1-888-624-9376 to disconnect power
🔹Before excavating to clear flooded areas, Click Before You Dig
During a flood:
🔹Avoid standing water as underground or downed power lines can carry an electric charge
🔹Watch for submerged poles and low-hanging power lines if travelling by boat
🔹Avoid travelling after dark as power lines will be near impossible to see
Before an expected flood:
🔹Turn off the main breaker if it's safe to do so. Never enter water to reach electrical equipment
🔹Move electrical equipment out of basements
🔹If excavating for flood mitigation, Click Before You Dig
🔹Ensure sewer backwater valve & sump pump work to prevent backup
