Haha…thought it was a bit strange 😂

Love this ‘double’ album. Peak Simple Minds for me. Never far from my turntable.
“Does it, does it, does it every time.” Great tune from a fantastic band. Here’s my original copy of the single.
Aye, for sure 😂
My oldest brother’s taste was a bit prog rock, so luckily I never followed his path.
What a great band. My brother had a couple of their albums when we were young, but they disappeared over time. Had to re-buy them recently. Wish I was old enough to have seen them live, they looked pretty wild.
Great tune. I ‘only’ bought the orange vinyl version when it came out. Wasn’t a huge Gen X fan, TBF.
What a monster of an album that is. Easily one of my top 10. Saw them in Aberdeen in 79 and a few more times since. Album is regularly on my turntable. Love it.
What a top tune that is. Wonderful cover version. One of my favourite 12” singles. Note to self - Need to play more often 🤔
Great album. Probably my favourite of theirs. Another one that gets played regularly around here.
Fantastic…!! What a double bill that is. Saw Simple Minds a couple of times quite early, but would have loved to have seen Magazine at that time.
I didn’t start work (apprenticeship) until 81 so my £5/week pocket money had to stretch quite far between music/football/clothes.
What an album that is, absolutely mighty..!! One of the first I bought when my head was turned by punk/new wave. Also saw Costello & the Attractions tour the album when they came to Aberdeen in 79. Got EC’s autograph that night as well.
Yeah, well *really* ropey might be more apt. “Dog’s bollocks” is definitely acceptable in every day conversation 👍
An absolute classic. A bit ropey in a lyrical sense in places and probably wouldn’t get recorded/released these days. That said it’s never far from my turntable, though.
Aye, they are very energetic. Great to see them.
Aye, quality. Here’s a wee video I’ve posted before.
For sure. The old lady was partial to the odd profanity on occasion, but I think the ‘c’ word was just a step too far.
My brother bought me this wonderful album for my Christmas 1978. Made the mistake of giving its debut play on my new stereo in the living room on Christmas Day. Thought Ma Skene was going to have a coronary when ‘Plaistow Patricia’ came on 🤦♂️
I’ve seen them twice at Aberdeen Music Hall and once at a free gig in New York Times Square along with DEVO. Quite a geographical spread, I would say.
Just had a reminder from Concert Archives that eighteen years ago today I was at the Music Hall in Aberdeen to see We Are Scientists.
They really are a great live band.

Shucks ☺️
Top top player. Still the only player to ever captain both Scottish and English cup winning teams.
Love Prague. Was there last year. Looks like they named their bread in my honour after my trip. Enjoy 👍
Was a huge fan of Costello then as well. In fact I think that ‘This Year’s Model’ would be my ‘desert island disc’. One of the most played albums in my collection. Costello was also my second ever gig in 1979.
An absolute classic. Only have it on CD these days as my vinyl copy seems to have got lost over the years. Love it as much today as when I originally bought it all those years ago.
They were fantastic. Was lucky enough to see them live a couple of times.
Probably my favourite ever single. Maybe as much for where I was in my life as for the tune itself. But then again it is a tremendous tune.
💔😔
Another album that I haven’t played since springing all my vinyl from the loft is this cracker, so #nowplaying is ‘Love Not Money’ by the superb Everything But The Girl.
Fantastic album and iconic sleeve. Love it, need to play it more often.
