Second con project: 3D animated badge. I teased this before and again, huge thanks (or curses) to @adi.vote for starting me down this rabbit hole and for the camera rig. There's more work to do on the render and payback but I love how the case came out and the 3D effect is soooo stunning in person.

The manufacturer has a "single contact point block" on their site but with no pictures, or description. So no clue if it's the same as the eBay listing. Might be discontinued.

Why?

Because QR codes have a couple modes of storing data, if you use any lowercase characters (or #) it'll store it with at least 8 bits per character.

Otherwise it'll store it in "alphanumeric" mode, where there's only ~45 valid characters, which is 5.5 bits per character!
