L’Shana Haba’ah B’Yerushalayim

Why?
The Opening day of baseball is the third most holiest day in Judaism
Perhaps be upset about both actually?
Even further more, the Palestinian National Authority, led by Fatah, also supports a two state solution with the aforementioned boundaries I stated. I’m not gonna defend the Israeli government in any capacity at all, but to act as if they are the ONLY roadblock to peace is ridiculous
Maybe because the international community has largely agreed on a two state solution and the territories that should be allocated to both Israel and Palestine? Ever think of that?
For stating a simple fact?
I apologize for being confrontational, but to me its always been common knowledge that Jews and Judaism rejects Jesus as the messiah
Yes but Jews obviously don’t believe Jesus as the messiah
Us Jews have believed in the messiah for like 2,500 years
A rabbi says the messiah is coming and you mention Jesus
How stupid are you seriously?
People just say anything
The Shema is the most important and central prayer of Judaism. It declares the monotheistic essence of Judaism and serves as the morning and evening prayer. It’s first verse is “Hear O Israel: YHWH our God, YHWH is one”
“Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove back the sea with a strong east wind that turned it into dry land. So the waters were divided.”
Exodus 14:21
Hes also antisemitic and blames Jews
I literally just told you lmao, are you stupid? The state of Israel should compromise of it’s internationally recognized territory, and Palestine should be the West Bank and the Gaza Strip
You’re part of the problem btw
I believe Israel should exist, and as well as the state of Palestine. Both Jews and Palestinians deserve freedom and sovereignty, without fear and war
But the Old City of Jerusalem is too holy and too sacred for any nation to lay claim to. The Old City and Temple Mount should be a universal place
Israel should exist as the Jewish state along side a Palestinian state compromising of East Jerusalem (except the old city, and Temple Mount) the West Bank and the Gaza Strip
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say if the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust”
Psalm 91
The parting of the Red Sea in the Prince of Egypt is in my opinion, one of the greatest scenes in cinematic history
No, no he is not
Zuz (an ancient Jewish coin) made during the Bar Kokhba Revolt (132-135 CE). The front reads in Hebrew “to the Freedom of Jerusalem” and the back reads “Year two to the freedom of Israel”
Judaism itself is a secluded religion. It doesn’t proselytize people and doesn’t seek converts, which is why Judaism is an ethnoreligion and Jews are an ethno-religious group. Not all Jews practice Judaism but the two are deeply and historically intertwined and would not exist without each other
Commanded to believe in God. Like I said, I’m not overtly religious (as in I largely don’t take the Tanakh at face value, I often don’t keep kosher, and don’t keep the sabbath), but I do honor HaShem as our God
I don’t consider myself to be very religious by any means necessary. I view the Bible through a mostly mythological lens and the Torah was written historically to solidify and preserve Jewish culture and society
But as a Jewish person, I still fill special in a way, and for some reason I feel
I don’t know why but Psalm 137 speaks to me the most, but I also find it extremely haunting
Yes no problem at all. I feel like Judaism is a very complex religion and when I myself get confused by it at times and need to read about it a lot. And I feel like the best thing to do is debate/discuss it so more people understand it
I know you don’t mean it offensively, but my main point was simply that the core belief of Judaism is that God established a covenant with us and we have a special relationship with him
The covenant is the foundational principle of Judaism. Are you insinuating that Judaism + Jews are a problem in the world since the covenant with God is the core part of the religion?
