I tend to forget there are non VW air cooled things out there. At first I thought it was a type 3 Karmann Ghia before I realized what it was. Very cool!

A plan and section of a long thin shady garden
Nearly finished his looong assignment. A fern glade inspired back garden. Done in CAD and then Krita to give it more of a homespun drawn by hand look.
I understand this feeling. Whenever my partner is away for a work trip the house feels emptier than when they are just out.
Yeah it can. I found it pleasingly grainy if that is your thing. although I haven't used it sans filters for a while.
3 rolls of Ilford SFX
Food for my modded Brownie. SFX is absolutely one of my favourites for near IR work. Even a milder red filter just makes everything look rather ethereal.

That is exceptional!
Thank you! I find it a bit scratchy these days after years not really writing cursive. My primary school teacher would be pleased! ๐
Pleased people seemed to like this. It is a simple unsharp image from my box brownie. In case its not clear I am really not very well at the moment. Limiting my online activity and using a simple 100+ year old box with a hole in it is all I am up to.
To this day any time we are in a walk that crosses a wheat field in summer I can't help but think of that. She ruined wheat fields for me!
I'm planning to put some maize in the allotment this year mainly for bird food. It's quite an attractive crop as well. Giving up on sweetcorn. When you get it it's amazing but it's really hard to stop numerous other things from getting there first.
I was curious on this one as plenty if un-picked husks which seemed a shame.
A box brownie image of a field with scrubby dead growth in the foreground and a pale line snaking into the tree lined hillside in the background.
One thing I like about my countryare the networks of ancient trackways that are mapped and can be followed throughout the landscape. Sometimes nothing more than a pale scar in a chalk downland field. #BelieveInFilm #BoxBrownie
I'm trying to limit the text I add as text online and my notebooks are relatively sacrosanct. However, to summarize this is a handwritten note explaining why I think I am currently getting very anxious about tiny things since they are the only thing I feel in control of.
A short note on focusing on the small stuff and how this might not be the best idea if you are a bit obsessively minded.
A 5x4 half frame photograph printed on mulberry paper of a Lake District packhorse bridge in Ambleside
Packhorse Bridge - Sweden Bridge, Ambleside - half frame photograph printed onto mulberry paper. The photograph was made using my Pentax 17 and Ilford HP5 developed with DD-X #believeinfilm #printyourwork
I'm getting Calotype vibes from this. It's lovely!
A beach at low tide and a groyne half worn away. The text reads sometimes all we have is bleak and blurry.

Good luck with the interview!
Thanks! This for a garden concept plan I am working on and so feeling is much more important that botanical accuracy (thankfully for me!)
A colour illustration of a smallish tree fern in a pot
It's 2026. I suck at drawing but prefer that to the debasement of human dignity which is the alternative. Also I enjoy it. Dickensonia Antarctica in a pot.
A large wooden shelter in the shape of a mushroom. Seen from inside you can see the sky through arches. Bx Brownie camera on Ilford PanF film.

A really rather nice easter. I am thrilled to just have my beetle available and reliable enough to pop out on hikes and pub dinners with it. Just a lovely joyful thing to do. It's not concourse but who cares!
A 90s Lotus Elan. It's very yellow!
Checkpoint!
An uncharacteristically Mediterranean looking bit of a churchyard. Encountered on a walk today.
Self indulgent but I do love just recording using the bug. To me there is no better use of an old car than for it to take you to a nice dinner at a country pub.
A box brownie camera pointed at a beach at low tide.
I'm definitely in :delicate mental state box brownie therapy mode' right now. When in doubt. Take a box camera for a walk.
The rear cabin of a VW beetle without a seat in it.
Reupholstering. My god this is a tough job. Chassis number is late 1966 btw so a big birthday coming up.
A cat (a naughty one) on a blue VW bonnet. Viewed from inside the car.
New hood ornament.
Pretty much my feeling too. It's a shame because the Pentax is a great little thing but results a little too lofi for me.
It will pass. It always does. Absolutely sucks while one is in it though. Sending you good thoughts.
