Working on 3D models of the characters in Chainmail bikini Squadron. I will go into more detail in my next devlog and weekly roundup on Patreon with more behind the scenes stuff.

But this will give me a better reference for the pixel art and viewmodels for handling the 3D weapons in game

It takes a bit to get used to the user interface and how blender works but it is so very worth it, I’d personally recommend Grant Abitt in particular for low poly as I started doing blender stuff seriously a year ago and his tutorials are fantastic

Been a busy week of dev work, next update is almost ready!Removed clipping from weapons so they no longer phase through walls and did a material pass so that the shiny parts of weapons are actually shiny.

Honestly for 3d Grant Abbitt has taught me so much, I'm not doing much 3d character art rn but for hard surface modelling I have learnt so many great techniques from him and many others on Gamedev.tv
