Have long thought that Becky Lynch is very similar in strengths and weaknesses, and like Punk made the strengths so strong the weaknesses were basically irrelevant. They're kind of out on their own branch at that top star level in the States over the last ~20 years.

Punk is, for a modern wrestler, a total non-athlete. It's remarkable how good he is at everything else to not just balance that but make it pretty much a non-issue.

(This is not to "argue with" the original post, which is funny and true.)

the first time I heard the WWF prattle on about a "new era" constantly. it's the same playbook, other than they didn't have Aaron Tippin fighting with Jim Rome or whatever.

Underrated job guy. Solid. "Blue collar" type of wrestler. Had a real good 4-minute match with Benoit on the Pro in November '95.

my argument is not "WWE is good" my argument is that ESPN also fucking sucks and them all hanging out is a perfect fit

the people who sit around watching 6 hours a day of talking heads staging completely fake shouting matches on ESPN but are deeply in their feelings about "Liv Morgan" being on one of those shitty talk shows are the new funniest people on social media

my man started wrestling in *1990*. was doing jobs on TV for years before he ever got any semblance of a push in ECW or WCW, that he wound up with a Name Brand run of any sort in WWE is astounding. plugged away and never gave up.

Vampiro, 58 vs PCO, 58 vs Big Vito, 61 is the biggest draw of WrestleMania weekend and some of these fools and clods want the olds to retire to make way for some 33 year old kid? get a clue, jack.

CPU Garret Anderson probably hit about .513 off of me over several years of video game baseball. 53 is too damn young.
