@growleaf.bsky.social pointed out that the 20-item Promethean drawback table was the only part of Underside to use a non-d6 die AND was just two drawbacks off matching the tarot theme... So here's two cool new ways your supertech can be Worse (1/2)

His Liberal Highness would have known this had he possessed at least an elementary knowledge of the âfundamental principles of Marxismâ, of which he speaks with such boundless aplomb and with equally boundless ignorance.
i'm sorry but. if you are wide-eyed and posting about artemis ii and imagining if they spent money on this and not bombs. i have to ask you who the fuck do you think makes the bombs.
generally i feel when people make this complaint the real problem they are getting at is that it is overly hamhamded or telegraphed, where the blatant sense of being told what to feel interferes with actually experiencing that emotional response
wow this script is so tight and well constructed i bet whoever supervised it was a Mind Genious :)

steam's recommendations system operating by tags is so funny, because it is currently showing me a selection of games i might like based on the fact that, like previous games i've played, they contain voice-over narration
I Work Very Hard, And I Would Like To Try Cake By A Horse Hello. I am a horse. I work very hard at my job of being a horse. When humans say move the heavy thing, I move the heavy thing. When humans sit on top of me and pull on my head, I carry them where they want to go. The main food the humans give me is hay and oats. But I am thinking it would be nice to have a different food. I am thinking I would like to try cake. Yes, yes. Cake. I know all about it. When humans eat cake, it is in glad times. It is the food for a celebration, such as when a woman becomes 47. I have seen cake on the Fourth of July. When humans have a cake, they stand around it and clap hands and smile and say happy birthday at each other. Sometimes there are beautiful markings on a cake, such as balloons or a pink shape. Sometimes the top of a cake is on fire and a boy must blow on the fire with mouth wind. This is the scariest cake. I do not want this kind. But I will eat any other cake. Any cake that is not the fire cake that tries to kill the boy. Please understand: I do not get money for doing work. I do not get to go inside the house. All I am either doing my horse job or standing in my pen or eating food off the floor. I always do these things. But I have never once gotten cake and I would like it very much. I have noticed that human children get to eat cake. But I am bigger than the children. I am more helpful to the farm. Children do not move the heavy things like me or let anyone ride on them. And yet they get cake. Maybe the humans will realize this. Maybe they will say, "You know who deserves cake? That horse. That horse whose back we are always on." Every day I dream about what it will be like if I get to eat cake. Here is what will happen. First, I will walk to the cake and putt my nose at it like hrrfff to make and stomping my hooves to make sure it is not a snake. Then I will trot in a circle to show that I am a horse and I am large. After that, I will nuzzle the cake to âŚ
The horse op-ed is an instant classic. I can't tell you how much joy this piece gives me.
It should be taught in every introductory writing class in no small part because the horse arguments are so compelling. "I have noticed that human children get to eat cake. But I am bigger than the children."
great pod about MTA... glad to see people find my writing as funny as i do :)
lots of people on bluesky overreact and take jokes literally, so just for anyone who doesn't get it: emily /knows/ half the fun of pissy shitties is in mixing them to your preferred ratio, guys, she's doing a bit

Today, I learned that the bombing of Pearl Harbor happened in the year 987. I knew I should have paid attention in history class! EDIT 12.17.2020: Today, I learned that the piece of protective headwear that horseback riders use is called, a bomb. Yes, the explody kind.

I really wanted to recommend this game, but after I learned that Zinedine Zidane played in 4 World Cups (he played in 3) without scoring a single goal (he scored TWO in the 1998 final vs Brazil), and that Muhammad Ali's name before converting to Islam was EVANDER HOLYFIELD, I just can't man.

i've just always held a grudge against that film for the central plot being driven by the chinese being paranoid and jumping to militarism while the us delegation is intent on peaceful negotiation--a comical inverse of the two countries' real-world foreign policies for the last 70 years
All that in mind, weâd like to acknowledge this gameâs inspirations, both the positive and negative. So a huge âthank youâ to the XCOM games (both the original and the reboot series) and Seth Dickinsonâs Exordia for inspiring the gameâs tone, and to Peach Garden Gamesâ Blazing Hymn and Jesse Rossâ Trophy Gold for inspiring its mechanical skeleton. Because weâre honest, we also owe equal and opposite âfuck yousâ to Spielbergâs War of the Worlds, Edge of Tomorrow, Battle for L.A, Independence Day, and Denis Villeneuveâs Arrival, for getting it horribly wrong in a way that made us want to get it right.

I've released a game about jousting; The Gallant and the Virtuous. You play competitors meeting at tourneys across the years, your encounters separated not just by time but significant turmoil across your land. The game ends with the death of one competitor in what will prove to be the final joust.
the big issue in discussions of art is that people leave no room for the existence of shitty, uninspired, shallow art. âx isnt art because it sucksâ actually it is art AND it sucks. art isnt just the shit you like
