I played the demo on PS5 and Switch 2 and I thought it worked well on both. The Switch version would also of course allow you to make use of the amiibo. But this is one of those rare occasions where I opted for PS5 performance over Switch portability.

Pragmata PS5
It's been a while since I've bought a new PS5 game (I rarely get to commandeer the TV in the lounge, y'see) but Pragmata is a blast!
Pet Shop Boys Voulim and Catalogue, side by side
Bought the new Pet Shop Boys book 'Volume', a visual record of their output. Here I've compared with their previous book 'Catalogue': the more compact size means some reprinted content has been cut (such as the images of the Miracles CD singles shown here). Nonetheless the new book is a great read.
Yeah 1990 was relatively early days for the Amiga, there were some absolute classics still to come. My favourite here is Speedball 2, followed by Rainbow Islands and Turrican!
A selection of Amiga games from 1990 including Speedball 2, Wings, Kick Off 2, Pang, Midwinter, Rainbow Islands, Turrican... phew ... And more...
Saw this graphic on Twitter via Commodore Computer Museum. A selection of Amiga highlights from ONE YEAR of its life (1990). It really does highlight how much of an incredible gaming platform the Amiga was.
What's your favourite from this selection?
Hey, for folks still rocking a PS4, if you own Astro Aqua Kitty, turn on the kitty astronaut dynamic theme!
There should be giant Easter eggs spinning around the sun :)
Ah yes thanks for the reminder, every now and then I look out for that one on eBay
I only discovered this game recently. Big fail on my part that I didn't play Mario Tennis back in the GBC's reign! ๐พ
Definitely an example of over-designed typography. Gotta admire the confidence in going with it ๐
Yes, when we saw it approaching last night we were a bit... anxious... But the locals seemed pretty chilled ๐
The sky went from brown to orange to red yesterday in Crete. Or were we on Mars? ๐ค
The Crew card game
Watching Project Hail Mary has inspired me to get this game out... an ideal choice by the way if you want to play a family game in absolute silence ๐
A productive day, getting my first AND second successful run in Slay the Spire 2.
Defect first (lots of Lightning) and then Ironclad, with the Runic Pyramid relic (retain your hand) which at first I thought was a BAD IDEA but actually worked out well.
We had a family outing to the cinema to watch Project Hail Mary and we all loved it ๐ (๐)
Oh no with the arrival of the sun it's also the season of annoying flies buzzing around the house
I love Metroidvanias so I am sure I'll go for it ๐ Hope it's not TOO brutal though... ๐
(Also... Animal Well and Balatro, which although I already own on Switch, I'm tempted to buy again)
Help. Now that I have a Steam Deck, the Steam Spring Sale is a truly dangerous thing.
Stardew Valley, Dave the Diver, Dead Cells, Minishoot' Adventures, Old School Rally, Athena Crisis, and Shadow Gambit ALL in my wishlist and discounted ๐
Uh oh. It's been a while since I've visited here.
That sounds like a great idea ๐
Works great with my laptop, and also with Steam Deck games that benefit from a keyboard. Yet to try it with my fridge.
Slay the Spire keyboard by MKRO Studio.
I am loving my Slay the Spire keyboard by MKRO. I've never bought a premium keyboard before, but it's such a pleasure to use. And it LIGHTS UP, which will no doubt increase my productivity IMMENSELY.
Oh no I'm being lured to buy more LEGO ๐
Half-Life 2 on Steam Deck
I bought a Steam Deck. *Obviously* it's a perfect excuse to play through this again.
I don't think it had dawned on me until this fifth edition ๐
I love the design consideration made with A Profound Waste of Time in that every page ends in a full stop; there are no sentences that wrap over to the next page. I'd imagine it could be a logistical design nightmare at times!
@apwot.bsky.social
PS Vita was the perfect form factor and perfect quality and had tons of backwards compatibility and everyone just left it to die.
our team is TOTALLY blown away by the amount of people who have been playing & sharing their love for the game we've been working on for the past half decade.
we're excited to continue to make StS2 the best that it can be!! ๐ช
also obligatory joke: we'll getcha one day Silksong
It's a solid 11/10 game! (I would have rated it 10, but then I discovered the room full of cheese.)
