We have an incredible team of 24 community leaders running for Democratic State Committee (District Leader) as part of the Brooklyn Can’t Wait Slate.
Together, they can transform the Brooklyn Democratic Party by winning in the primary elections this June — but their campaigns need our support!
We're just as confused as everyone else is about the Brooklyn Democratic Party's endorsement flip-flop today.
But it does make the need for new Party leadership clearer than ever. Our full statement:
New endorsements!
First, we're thrilled to support @phara4assembly.bsky.social for reelection in Assembly District 57.
She's a model of what authentic, inclusive, and effective leadership can look like.
Are you a Democrat in Brooklyn who wants to help build a more ambitious, more effective party?
One concrete thing you can do in 2026 is run for County Committee with @repyourblock.bsky.social!

Emails should be about one topic, and that topic should be in the subject line.
Blockbuster story in the @nydailynews.com this weekend. It illustrates many of the reasons we at New Kings Democrats have been fighting for a better Brooklyn Democratic Party and why that fight matters.
It’s about Frank Seddio. But it’s about a lot more than him too.

Again, I cannot stress enough how much of NYC politics (but especially Brooklyn) is just the same 7 or 8 people committing comically inept types of grift while going after things like "bike lanes," all while the city becomes increasingly unaffordable.
The🧵 by NKD provides some much-needed context.
It taught me a lot of tropical location names, at least
Andrew Cuomo's reputation for COVID leadership was built on a series of lies.
New Yorkers should remember the truth when they head to the polls 👇
If you don’t have 12 fun stories after every time you take an NYC bus, are you even living?

Gov. Cuomo treated New York City like a punching bag. Why would we want him as mayor?
Don’t let amnesia win.

On June 24, New Yorkers will decide primary races for mayor, comptroller, public advocate, and city council.
If you are registered as an independent or with a third party, you are effectively disenfranchised from this part of the democratic process.
It’s literally why we’re here
“As Trump Attacks Diversity, a Racist Undercurrent Surfaces” President Trump has promised a "colorblind and merit-based" society, while also equating diversity with incompetence .
Dante described a special place in hell for NYT headline writers, where they experience burning pain but there are no devils, no agents of torment, just weird ‘undercurrents’ like bad smells. Who is torturing them? No one in particular
I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.
Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO
It’s important to know that a lot of productive activity is happening in person and offline, too.
Not all of it can be broadcast online, but we’ve had hundreds of people showing up to our trainings, mobilizations, and more.
Keep going. Tyranny is eroded by a sea of small acts. Everything matters.
Looks like you can currently reply on posts but not on “stories”?
