In games that get patched frequently like MOBAs, game balance can often become secondary to things like player needs. A well balanced meta can often be criticized if the players think that it has gone stale. There's so much that comes to balancing a game nowadays.

A lot of the reason why I think it's especially challenging today is because the people who play videogames today are completely different than ones ten years ago. I try to stay away from words or phrases like "Patch Culture", but I will admit that players have evolved to have different expectations

The idea of game balance has been bonking around in my head for the past couple of days. I think it's harder to balance a game nowadays than it has ever been before mainly because you're able to push out changes whenever you want. There's so much decision making involved with so little precedent.

Sometimes my day is absolutely unsalvageable and then I think about Nana and I'm like :)
