Now that they no longer have the element of surprise on their side, attempts to cross the border in the Belgorod region result in needless losses of personnel and equipment.

Three years ago, on 7 March 2022, eyewitnesses described Russians occupiers deliberately aiming artillery at the dome of St. George's Church in Zavorichi village. The church burned down as a result of the shelling.
