As an elder millennial, I have no patience for April Fools shenanigans unless they're actually funny.

And some of y'all ain't as funny as you think you are.

Arisan An Action/Fantasy Comic where our heroes try to escape the underworld or die trying.

Something I often tell both my Black & trans students is that if you want to get ahead, find your way, or make your own name in the comics industry, then sometimes its up to you to build your own path and make your own door when others wont open.

Thats what this kickstarter is trying to achieve. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ

FYI for fellow narrative designers/game writers: the studio in question is Sentona Games and itโ€™s my understanding they are currently interviewing to replace me. Be very careful with them. They were very nice to me and easy to work with right up until I needed the money I was promised.

So they used high tech precision missiles that accidentally hit a girls school killing hundreds.

What were y'all trying to hit then? Where was the break in your chain of information? Did you not confirm the target? Did the back packs not give you a moment of pause? Whose being held responsible?

Listening to a podcast on the Satanic Panic. The overlap w/ current events is freakin' weird. The only difference is it was bunk in the 80's, but ppl were screaming "Believe the Children!"

Now, we have millions of files, victims coming forward, substantial proof. But not the same energy...

Galloping into Lunar New Year: Horse Imagery in Medieval Manuscripts. A manuscript illustration of a knight in armor jousting atop a horse that is clad in decorated red and gold armor.

A medieval manuscript illustration shows a man and woman riding a white horse adorned with red and gold ornaments. The man, wearing a green robe and red hat, gestures with his hand. The woman, in a red garment with a veiled headdress, sits behind him. The scene is set against a backdrop of trees and a blue sky, with a text above introducing the horses featured in this post as selections from Getty's collection of European manuscripts, presented in honor of the Year of the Horse.

This man was murdered by an off-duty ICE agent and he has two young daughters who will not have the support of a father ever again. We can't raise even $300k for these girls?

Close up of Pinkie Pie looking at a newspaper comic saying โ€œHmpf. I thought these were supposed to be funny?โ€

The comic is called Ponybert by Trot Adams. It opens with a building and we see a word balloon that says โ€œWell?โ€ The second panel is of Ponybert, the Dilbert stand-in saying โ€œNo one is smart but me.โ€

Thinking about that time the My Little Pony comics, of all things, absolutely bodied Scott Adams.

THIS.
The friends I value the most are the ones who treat me as someone who wants to do better and therefore wants to know when I've caused harm.

TW: Pet Loss

I think about all the generations of people and animals that lead to who we are today, and the lineage of pets who chose to love us.

Our pets are not with us by chance. They came into this world and by whatever means found us. So love them fiercely, and remember they love you.

TW: Pet Loss

This isn't just true for dogs. Cats, birds, reptiles, horses, rats, rabbits, an ark of souls who provide companionship and love to us flawed bipedal apes. these creatures and the relationships we build with them give us the opportunity and privilege to learn to be better humans.

TW: Pet Loss

Animals have been with humans since the beginning. With dogs it feels like two creatures eons back looked at one another and said, "Let's grow together."

All those eons ago, love upon love, companions crossing species and time to the people we are today and the pets we call family.

TW: Pet Loss

It's never fair or easy to take in a pet knowing that one day you will have to let them go. This is especially hard for people who feel things at a very deep level. Call it ADHD, being an empath, whatever you want.

I call it being human.

A friend has a lovely dog. Sweetest most supportive pup ever. Tomorrow morning they have to send him over the rainbow bridge.

Don't get me wrong, this pup has had a very long AMAZING life with my friend. It's the right choice.

It's just my heart hurts for them.
