Kansans stood up today alongside millions across the country.
In Wyandotte County, I stood with parents, veterans, teachers, union members, small business owners, and neighbors.
And we don't do kings.

Roger Marshall doesn't want voter ID. He wants voter suppression. And Kansas has seen this ALLLLL before.
I’ll fight like hell to protect your right to vote.

Great weekend at Washington Days talking with Democrats from across Kansas.
This is a statewide race, and Kansans want leaders who show up and do the work, not just show up for photo ops.
Thank you to all for a great weekend. Kansas is worth the work.

Four Kansas officers were being honored after being shot in the line of duty.
Roger Marshall’s office decided the real issue was to whine that Governor Laura Kelly showed up to support a wounded state trooper.

Today we mourn the lives lost in the first U.S. combat casualties of this new conflict with Iran. May we hold their families close, honor their sacrifice, and never forget the human cost of war.

Not everything about running for Senate is glamorous.
But if you care enough about something, you show up anyway.

And let’s be clear about something else. Donald Trump doesn’t get to scapegoat staff or pretend he’s not responsible for what comes out of his operation. When you’re a leader, the buck stops with you. Accountability isn’t optional. It’s the job.
Silence in moments like this is a choice. Roger Marshall should call it out clearly and without qualification. Kansas deserves leaders who will stand up to racism, not look the other way when it’s politically inconvenient.
The racist posting about President Barack Obama circulating today is unacceptable. Full stop.
Thanks to the Shawnee County Democrats for hosting a great 45th Annual Bean Feed. I was proud to talk about real representation in Kansas!
When even members of Congress are raising red flags, it’s clear something has gone seriously wrong. Kansas deserves leadership that will demand answers, protect civil liberties, and make sure no agency is operating above the law.
Kansans should be deeply alarmed by reports of federal agents using lethal force on American soil. This isn’t about politics. It’s about accountability, transparency, and the basic expectation that law enforcement follows the rule of law.

Cold and snowy on our wedding day, but full of Christmas warmth. For 30 years, Luke and I have shared family, community, resilience, and many dreams. My refuge is always with you and our favorite son. Here’s to the next 30.
Shop Small Saturday in Cottonwood Falls was a reminder of what makes Kansas special. Stopped by Harshman Creek, Tallgrass Antiques, Prairie PastTimes, and the courthouse lighting with Cowboy Santa. These hometown businesses and traditions keep our communities strong.
As we learn more, I hope for swift recovery for the injured and clarity for their families. Kansas has deep respect for the men and women who put themselves in harm's way, and today we stand with them.

I am also grateful for the first responders who moved quickly to secure the area and provide care. Incidents like this remind us how much we rely on the courage and commitment of those who serve our country and protect our communities.
I am closely following the reports out of Washington and my heart is with the two National Guard soldiers who were shot near the White House. Their families, loved ones, and fellow service members are facing an unthinkable moment and I am holding them in my thoughts.
We appreciate your commitment to the constitution and the people of this country.
To all who have worn the uniform, and to the families who serve alongside them, thank you.

Thank you to the dedicated volunteers who helped organize the event and to everyone who came out to celebrate our veterans.
Generations of service members have trained, lived, and led here, shaping both our community and our country.
Today’s Veterans Day Parade was a powerful reminder of that enduring spirit.
For almost 200 years, Kansas has played a proud role in that legacy — especially here in Leavenworth, home to the oldest active Army post west of the Mississippi and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
On this Veterans Day, we pause to recognize the extraordinary men and women who have served our nation with courage and honor.

Together, we’re picking Kansas—and I couldn’t be prouder to be in this fight with you
Touring the Babcock & Wilcox plant in Humboldt today — impressive work happening right here in Kansas! Downtown Humboldt looks amazing, and I’m proud to have been part of its story through my work with Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area.

Their traditions, stewardship of the land, and commitment to community continue to shape who we are and how we move forward together.
This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we recognize the rich history and ongoing contributions of the Native nations connected to the land we now call Kansas — including the Kaw, Osage, Kickapoo, and others whose stories remain central to our state’s identity.
... collapsing farm economy, or job insecurity that is making us all ask what the heck Roger Marshall is doing in the US Senate - because he certainly isn't working for us.

Christy knows what it takes to work with people to get the job done and she knows that grandstanding on political morning shows doesn't do anything to address the skyrocketing grocery bills...
As DC prepares for a shutdown and Kansans brace for the impact of failed leadership, we are getting another example of Roger Marshall putting national politics and appeasing the White House ahead of the real costs to Kansas families.
