BLUE RIDGE HUNTING - CHAPTER 1
"WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON"
COMING 2026. KICKSTARTER IN APRIL.
Firewatch is one of my favorite games of all time, and was a major inspiration for Blue Ridge Hunting, so I guess it makes sense one of my favorite spots to escape to has been the abandoned fire tower on Butt Mountain :)

In 1921, West Virginia coal miners fought strikebreakers on Blair Mountain in the largest labor uprising in US history.
The battle came after a deadly shootout in the small town of Matewan, which I visited last summer.

On November 15, 1966, two young couples from Point Pleasant ventured into the "TNT Area", and saw the Mothman for the first time.
Last summer, I visited the TNT Area while researching for Blue Ridge Hunting.

Over the summer, I set off on a week-long trip across West Virginia (the first of many!). The New River Gorge was my first stop, and it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.

I've driven & hiked for thousands of miles through rural Appalachia while researching for Blue Ridge Hunting.
Each level in the game has been lovingly handcrafted to model real locations. I've created a photo gallery with some pictures I've taken during my travels. Link below.
