Deeply grateful to JKW Live Well Foundation for the $25K grant to support students at the Daytop Preparatory School in Huntington Station. The funds will expand music & technology programming to foster creativity, build new skills, & stay engaged: www.samaritanvillage.org/news/livewell-grant-dps/
We joined 300 other human services workers at the New York State Capitol in Albany for a #JustPay Human Services Advocacy Day. At the rally & meetings with legislators, we demanded the State fund a 2.7% COLA increase on all human services contracts & pass Wage Board legislation.
Our Outpatient, Recovery, & Residential Services staff attended the #NewYork Association of #DrugTreatmentCourt Professionals (NYATCP) in Saratoga Springs.
For nearly 20 years, we've supported the NYATCP's efforts to provide treatment as a solution, not jails, to address the needs of New Yorkers.
🚨ICYMI: Two Peer Professionals from our Peer Alliance Recovery Centers (PARC), William Eddins and Wilbert Del Carmen, joined Miss Pat Robinson on 94.7 FM "Conversations on the Block" for a conversation about recovery & community support.

Shelter workers are essential to the city’s response to extreme weather and homelessness alike.
We’re grateful for the workforce that never closes.
