0.4m. One of the lowest tides of the year. Huge exposure of the reef between Lancing and Worthing. No sign of the Brooklands Channel deposits but the seabirds like the freshwater outfall across the line of it.

Very pleasing shapes.
Birthday cake cut into squares and not slices.
Birthday celebration at rehearsal. This is the way to cut large cakes to ensure everyone gets a piece. Genius.

A little book of your photos would be lovely. X
A posy of forget me nots from my garden, one of which has six petals instead of five, in a miniature ceramic James Keiller Dundee sample size marmalade jar from the early 20th century
There's a six petalled forget-me-not in this posy I made-if you find it your brain will release a ping of dopamine, increasing motivation and lifting mood a little. I've posted this before but it's peak forget-me-not season so worth repeating (also my miniature Dundee marm jar is💙):

Here is the Spring planting in the Park for you. I love the pop of bright colours. Xx

‘The 20th century is ancient history to young people.’
The V&A hopes its new branch in east London will get younger, more diverse audiences through the door – but that’s much easier said than done, writes @helenbarrett.bsky.social

Meet the infinity gong! @dameevelynglennie.bsky.social introduces us to this marvel, and what this means for listening in terms of how you approach an instrument, or a situation. Listening is about introducing yourself with care and attention, whether it’s to a gong, or to another person.
For our latest project Ways of Listening, we’re looking for your creative responses about what listening means to you - so what could the infinity gong tell you about the way that YOU approach listening? citiesandmemory.com/listening/
A restored Lion Mooring ring from the River Thames, now incorporated into the new Bazalgette Embankment created above the Tideway 'Super Sewer'. If you come to London, you will see these Lion mooring rings along most of the central London embankments.

That's a lovely find - the typeface is beautiful.

Photo shows a thick layer of gloopy mud on the Thames Foreshore.
Mud, mud and more gloop! Not a lot to be found here. This area was clear two days ago. NB: permit required from the PLA to mudlark.
A much-loved Greenwich pub will reopen in May after being closed for eight months — and will regain its old name once again.
The Vanbrugh has been taken on by a family-owned business, which has turned the old pub into a hive of activity in the past week.

Your periodic reminder that there is a website that lets you listen to local radio stations anywhere in the world
This is honestly one of the coolest inventions ever, imo. Global access to hyper-local imagined communities
#PalmSunday • Sul y Blodau 🌸
In Wales, villages trimmed and adorned the graves of their dead relatives on Palm Sunday.
The sides of the graves were raised up with fresh turf, and fresh earth was placed on the surface; the stones were whitewashed, and women planted rosemary and rue🌷
