DRIVER, a documentary by Nesa Azimi streaming on PBS POV, is centered on a trucker, Desiree Wood, who has lived several lifetimes packed into one. After facing violence & sexual misconduct from multiple trainers during her apprenticeship, she became a longhaul trucker.

But in the meantime, the Hindu American Foundation sued the CA dept, alleging that their characterisation of Hinduism as a rigid caste structure unfairly ascribed beliefs to people who decry casteism.

Cisco employees say there was no hint of caste in how the employee was treated -- it was based on his performance.
The Dalit employee claims his colleagues outed him as lower caste, and retaliated when he complained.

Recently Trump signed an EO to enforce English for truckers.
Trucking hires lots of foriegn-born drivers and it is bound to impact them.

Some of them included donors who import skilled workers from India for their own business.
After they blew up donations from Hindus, they spent Christmas week trashing Hindus/Indians on X, coming out in inflammatory terms against importing skilled workers from India.
The donors seemed entirely unaware that the PAC they have given to heaped abuse on people like them.
The rest went to placing ads on social media for their own PAC.
During that time, they advertised on FB selling MAGA knick knacks and goldbug eBooks

They were given to understand that the donations to Conservative PAC would help the Hindu cause. That they would get a seat at the table in Republican politics.
None of it happened. Conservative PAC blew up the donations given by the Hindus on themselves.
