It was after reading the namesake that I started thinking more about what it really means to ‘be home’. The more I thought about it, clearer it became that I don’t really feel at home anywhere anymore. That feeling of belonging just isn’t there anymore. Feel like a wanderer just passing through.
I will never get people who slog their whole lives away, end up miserable, yet still defend capitalism and right-wing views just because they don’t want the ‘left’ to win or because they want minorities and immigrants to be treated harshly.
My respect for Bruno Fernandes keeps increasing. That man knew he was the best attacker on the team, but amorim wanted him to play DM. He put in a freaking shift in DM too without slagging him. Bruno one of the best 10 in his generation.
Will never ever forgive Amorim for what he did to Kobbie.
Thought the backline did really well, considering the number of center-backs that we were missing. Largely solid. Repelled most of what was thrown at them.
Not the prettiest or the most coherent of performances from Carrick’s United, but we will gladly take that at this stage of the season.

Had enough chances to score. Need to be a little more clinical in the second half and also be a bit more alert at the back. Not going to be an easy watch this one.
Don’t mind players looking languid or lazy on the ball. Not all players are the same. All that matters is the end product. But Zirkzee, gosh man, he looks so casual on the ball, keeps giving it away, and when he gets the chance, he is not even hitting the target.
A bit scary there at the end. Should have kept the ball better toward the end.
That pass from Bruno to Cunha was so good man. Threaded it through. Honestly cannot imagine this team without him.

It is just so comforting to have a goalkeeper that actually commands the area. Especially given how teams are just turning set pieces into wrestling matches and trying to almost just shove the ball into the net instead of playing it in.

Not the greatest of performances from BFC, but that Chhetri goal at the death definitely added some sparkle to it. Looked out of sorts for much of the second half, but still managed to see it through without too much trouble.
First game of the season. Should have probably gone to the stadium. Just didn’t feel up to it. Either way, good first half from Bengaluru FC. The goal was well-deserved. Brilliant ball in from Roshan to set up the goal. Need to keep up the intensity in the second half. #Indianfootball
