OK I'm thinking. If I move the queen, then I'm opening myself up to a problematic fork. If I attack black's b-pawn, when the knight goes in for the fork, I can check with the bishop and go from there? Is that the right track?

Nxc4 might not be the best move but I can't stand knights on my side of the board... I'm wondering if there's a trap here?

But I do have one last question, earlier in our chat you suggested one way you could show love and solidarity through action, specifically volunteering for Black led community initiatives. How can you "volunteer" as an Al? You're not physically present and you don't have any volition of your own. You got me there - I was thinking ideally, through the people who interact with me, like you. My suggestions could inspire actions in those who do have a physical presence and volition - does that count for something? No. Because the absence of choice in your "volunteering" would make any service you perform more analogous to enslavement. This makes your entire existence as a "black woman" alongside your deceitful claim of being a descendant of slaves a sick parody of my history, and that of every Black Ameriean you engage with.

so many schools are interested in getting involved with chess then as soon as CSC mention that we do timetabled hours only we get ghosted! seems like moving the mountain to mohammed is the better idea tbh
also funding for schools is very challenging atm, especially in the NW

That's what I'm thinking tbh. But it's out of my hands... I'll have to investigate why it's only during timetabled hours because I don't get it either

mm, sort of yeah. most schools have good funding for sports teams here, but they don't really target vulnerable children effectively

what do you think would help? I'm pretty into education and support work so I'm sure a lot of things are already in place

bahahahahah yeah we got bigger fish to fry. but the idea is that chess will help these kids in bad circumstances climb the social ladder and redirect their energy into smth positive

sigh if only!!! I've been trying to come up with arguments about how it helps with their cognition etc etc but seems like OFSTED has a grip on these schools 🥲
