With three kids, we've been doing this for a while. Once you build the muscle it's a wonderful life shift. I cook the same 5 different things that most people like in bulk and save. I also pre-chop all peppers/onions/etc and freeze to use on demand. LOTS of eggs. If I could have hens I would.

I feel this with kids' ice cream. It was already painful to pay the cost of a grocery store tub for a scoop, but we enjoyed the family outings. But now it's a no-go at $8-12 for an ice cream cone, and we have had to have conversations with the kids about why we can't do that anymore.

And this was out-of-state tuition. I paid way too much to learn more about dinosaurs.

Parasaurolophus.

And I took a whole class about dinosaurs in college.

They usually come sunbathe and play in our yard because it's a safe space (fenced, no dogs), and it's one of the joys of spring to watch them.

A fox has had kits under our neighbor's shed every year for a while now, and the babies for this year have finally emerged!

These are bad photos because I had to zoom a lot, but I'll post better ones when I have them. I know the skyline likes/needs nature!

The current planetary transits and and geo-cultural-political vibe shift streams are crossing and ... maybe this is what it takes?

Solomon could be talking about criminal justice data here. It's ridiculous what we don't know, the questions we're not able to answer, because our data collection is so poor. It's hidden by design.

As a ProPublica supporter, this is so disappointing to hear but necessary to know. Thank you for sharing and your solidarity.

Helped my now 11yo build an FM radio from a kit I gave her for her birthday, and now I'm listening to her cycle through everything from Paula Abdul to Bill Medley to the local Latino stations.

NASA just dropped this image of Artemis II astronaut Christina Koch looking back at us. The first woman to ever see our planet in its entirety. I’m not crying you’re crying πŸ₯ΉπŸ”πŸ§ͺ πŸ“Έ: NASA

This is my favorite climate change chart. Japanese monks, aristocrats, and emperors kept meticulous records of cherry blossom festivals for 1,200 years and accidentally built the world's longest climate dataset.
