I’ve been in something of a reading slump so I decided to look outside my usual genres and pick up the behemoth that is “Infinite Jest” by David Foster Wallace. This is the first time a foreword has really piqued by interest in work, so kudos to Michelle Zauner!

Aspect is a game that had 3 rules which was then cut down to 2. Following extensive conversation with its creator I have widdened it again to 3. The expansion of the ruleset will continue until morale improves.

I needed to treat myself this week, so I got the Graphic Audio versions of @adapalmer.bsky.social’s Terra Ignota series. What a brilliant way to revisit some of my favourite books of all time. Palmer’s worldbuilding and characters shine with full cast narration. I’m falling in love all over again!
Agreed! I was so impressed! I tore through the whole thing in one sitting, I couldn’t have been convinced to stop. Definitely one of my favourite reads of the year.

It’s finally over! 30 days of #OVER/UNDER and I truly do feel experimented upon (in the best way) by the crazy folks who thought this thing up. What an incredible journey. Give me a few days for the return trip to Earth and I might be able to write about the experience. For now? Dream on, Denizens!

Hundreds are still hopelessly addicted to the slicksim #over/under , drooling away their lives in pod arcades while family and loved ones weep. Minders have been hired to persuade them to leave but the most successful method is in-game assassination, a violent but effective way of waking a dreamer.

In my mind, the natural follow-up to reading The Freeze-Frame Revolution is watching Aniara (2018). Bleak, existential, and deeply haunting, it explores a lot of the themes found in Freeze-Frame, but from an opposing perspective. I love revisiting this one.

Moments that changed my character’s trajectory in #OVER/UNDER: an hour and a half long tarot card reading from the High Seer while standing guard at the Solarian Conclave. The game ends in a few days, but Desi is a Solarian for the rest of her life in my heart!
