Cozy Stickerville was a revelation for me. I've never been keen on narrative/legacy games, but I loved this one—and it even got me itching to explore more games like it! I got my money's worth from this one-time experience.

Century: Golem Edition is an excellent introduction to the engine building genre, and the above-average production makes it feel good to play. But it's a bit too streamlined—it lacks the oomph that would keep me coming back to it. shelfgamer.com/reviews/cent...

I wanted to like A Place for All My Books because it's cute and the theme resonates. But as a game? It's underbaked and I couldn't find the fun in it...

Dungeons, Dice & Danger is a solid roll-and-write experience and a good entry point for something a tad more advanced than the usual lightweight fare in this genre. It's also great solo. Have you played it?

Turing Machine is so good. shelfgamer.com/reviews/turi... #boardgames #reviews
Nice mix! Lots of light games and then BAM... Ark Nova lol. Glad to see Sedlec and Mantis, I really enjoy both.
Tonight we're playing Kronologic Cuzco 1450! So far seems like a nicely thinky logic deduction game

The Vale of Eternity is one I wanted to love, but it lacked that special sauce. Maybe I'm just not big on TCG-style gameplay, even if it's streamlined like this. shelfgamer.com/reviews/the-...

I'm generally neutral on dexterity games. But if I had to suggest one? It'd be Junk Art every time. It's fresh, creative, and replayable, with several different game modes that let you play how you like best. shelfgamer.com/reviews/junk...

Just an introvert playing a game about being an introvert. A Place for All My Books #boardgames #gamenight
Sagrada Sagrada Sagrada... It's surprisingly addictive.
Very interesting! I might have to check it out again then. Thanks. 😃
Is this a new version?? I've only seen the one with rounded planets and I skipped it because it seemed like a usability issue. The angled corners are way better!
First time playing Sagrada and it's great! Got some rules wrong at first but played a few more times and got it right. Perfect for a weeknight.

Décorum looks nice and has a great cooperative deduction concept, but the gameplay is too ambiguous, fragile, and frustrating. I wanted to love it... but I don't see myself playing it again. shelfgamer.com/reviews/deco...

Oof that's vicious! Yeah def don't do that in a game you want to keep playing lol
Board gaming as a couple comes with its hurdles and troubles. I've compiled 50+ tips and lessons I've learned over the years to maximize fun and minimize frustrations.

Duel for Cardia is a cleverly designed 2-player dueling card game that packs a ton of depth into a tiny package, but it demands a lot of investment for its depth to show. It's one of the better 2-player dueling card games, but not to my tastes. Here's why.

Exploring some more new-to-me deduction games! Tonight it's Turing Machine and it's kind of blowing my mind. How did anyone even come up with this?!

First time playing Harmonies last night. Ended up playing three times in a row! Not quite a "favorite" for me yet, but it could grow into it. So far, so good!
Whoops. I said "set collection" but it's more like "contract fulfillment."
Lure quickly became one of my favorite comfort games. Dice chucking? Check. Set collection? Check. A push-your-luck blind bidding auction that determines turn order AND how many dice you get to roll? Check! Simple, fast, and pleasant.

Board gaming is primarily a social activity—that's why good etiquette is so important. Here are some of the most common behaviors that might be pissing off your game group.

I forgot how fun and relaxing Cartographers can be, especially when played with markers. It's like a coloring book. Perfect for a weeknight.

We're playing Wingspan today! Yeah I'm late to the party.
I hoped Tom was taking care to craft a statement that'd address all this. That quote in the article really sucks. I love their videos but I just can't look at any of the DT crew the same anymore.
Tag Team is my favorite 2-player dueling card game of all time! The quick setup, fast turns, short play time, deckbuilding decisions, rising tension—I can see why some wouldn't like it, but I love it.

Yeah it ended up being more interesting! Got in each other's way a lot more and struggled to get stuff done. Tense but fun!
Snowed in and ready to play Santa's Workshop! This time it's the Advanced side. Hoping this side plays better at 2p
