We’ve published our provisional crime statistics for 2025 and while some areas such as fraud have shown increases, long term trends continue to indicate an ongoing, sustained reduction in recorded crime in Ireland.

An Garda Síochána detected 1,038 drivers travelling in excess of the applicable speed limit during National #Slowdown Day which ran for 24 hours on 23 Dec.
The aim of #Slowdown Day is to promote safer driving and reduce speed-related collisions nationwide.
