I can't wait to show more of this game to you all. I really hope you enjoy the result as I really want this game to be special. Working in the indie game market is pretty hellish, all things considered, but even if it doesn't make money, I'm probably going to be playing this game for ages. (5/5)
I'm really happy with how the gameplay loop is shaping up. How despite the large scale, it doubles down on the medium's arcade roots. I could keep going on and on with the influences from my passions to my frustrations but this is really turning out to be the most ME thing I've ever made. (4/?)
On top of that, I'm also drawing on so many influences outside of games. It ended up being a love letter to classic films from the 70's to 90's. The soundtrack is the most ambitious and varied I have ever composed. The story draws from different points in history and my own experiences. (3/?)
Like, taking a step back and looking at all of that on surface level... that sounds like a mess. It shouldn't work. Yet it's working WEIRDLY well. I guess it's because I picked the elements at hand based on the goal I had in mind as opposed to for the pursuit of being more unique. (2/?) #indiedev
It's wild how many things Jack Razor 2 ended up drawing from.
Just sticking to games it's Turrican with Mario 64 objectives, a little Tony Hawk and Sonic Adventure 2 thrown in, Rogue Squadron's medal system, some traits of various Pac-Man platformers, etc. (1/?)

Trans Day of Chaos
I was too busy with school work to celebrate Trans Day of Visibility. Because of this, instead of celebrating April Fools, I'll just be chaotic and gay and trans tomorrow (and by tomorrow I mean today- I'm tired. I need bed.). Might as well combine the energy of the two.
I hear that. Sometimes I'm too stressed or distracted to do it on time. >n< It's not uncommon for me to be like a day or so off.
Personally, there are times where I work on my own game more than I play them. However, sometimes I come across a creative problem and I go back and play other games and not only find a solution but develop more of an appreciation for how different games do these things.
Well girl, keep at your art! If that's bringing you joy, that's wonderful!
I've had that from time to time. Especially in times when I've had poor work/life separation. Obviously, that's just my experience though.
Also Pac-Man World Rally is a great time. I'd also recommend Ghostly Adventures 2 if you have a good way to play it. High score runs in that one are really fun
"Oh I'm really getting into drawing, or film, or music composition, etc." "Oh... here's how that can work or applies to video games."
Either way, I wouldn't force it too hard. That might end up counter intuitive. Don't be afraid to stretch your legs a bit.
Are there Pac-Man games you haven't tried yet? I think something fresh would help.
Personally, one thing that helps me is understanding all the different things that go into a video game. It's a medium that contains many mediums. Ergo, it's a culmination of other passions.
Passion comes and goes, but it makes it all the more wonderful when that spark hits again. Give it time, explore your other passions. Come back with that new angle that makes it all so interesting again.
You could always throw caution to the wind and try different kinds of games.
Been thinking a lot about this bit from Code Monkeys a lot lately. I'm sure there's nothing currently wrong enough with the video game industry that would elicit such a comparison.
I dunno about any other trans people following me but I have a fear of needles. How do I give myself my weekly injection? LGR videos. Yes, seriously. Between his voice and delivery calming me down just enough and my brain being distracted by computers, it works for me without fail.

Feel better soon! You don't deserve the dysphoria.
I've been trying to keep quiet about this but in case anyone ends up wondering where I am or why I've been more aloof, the transphobia I've been receiving lately has been getting to me. Between that and some irl difficulties, I've needed to withdraw more. I'm sorry.
I've also come to the realization that the first Pac-Man Championship Edition is honestly pretty mid.
Pac-Man Championship Edition DX is much better, but even then I feel like it's not even a top-10 Pac-Man game, despite its long-time status of being "the ultimate Pac-Man game"
I've recently come to the realization that the last actual traditional Pac-Man maze game (that's not some mobile or web browser game) was Pac-Man Arrangement from 2005.
And In my opinion, the last good traditional maze game was Pac-Man: Adventures in Time from 2000.
This is kind of depressing NGL.
Here's the updated version
Some new Jack Razor 2 Screenshots!
In this stage, you ascend through the remains of a base and a burnt down forest surrounding it. However, as you do so, you see how much has been left untouched.

I drew a few high res pixel art backgrounds for Jack Razor 2 today. Really like how this one came out but ouch my hand hurts from all of those mouse clicks.
Good for you! Just be warned, I'm pretty unrelenting on it. That doesn't mean I wish to squash your enjoyment of it, rather I'm just trying to get my own thoughts out there.
Enjoying a game I don't isn't "unfortunate". Genuinely, good for you. I'm glad you were able to get something out of it. I've said my piece on the game and would rather move onto some positive videos on games I like. Thanks for the offer and good luck on the video!
I finally have monetization back! Thank you all so much!
