If you need to redo it you can place a small dish on the sand and the slowly poor water onto that to avoid it being disturbed too much
I had to do this with volcanic soil substrate as it didn’t settle the first time 😭

Sea monkeys/brine shrimp? Or other shrimp??

did you rinse the sand before hand? If it doesn’t settle you might have to restart because it can leave scum in the tank and also cause bacterial bloom
