I also considered polar.sh for our upcoming SaaS products because they claim to be the "cheapest MoR on the market".
But that's a pure marketing stunt!
If you're selling globally, you're looking at 6% + 40Β’ per transaction, higher than both Paddle and PayPro Global.
Posts by Ervin Kalemi
Update: reached out to both; only PayPro Global responded.
They had already given me better pricing than Paddle for transactions greater than $50.
Their VP of Sales just gave me better pricing for transactions under $50 (our average amount).
So @payproglobal.bsky.social 1, Paddle 0.
It's been 6 years since I took a vacation longer than one week π₯²
No wonder @marclou.bsky.social and more choose to indie hack (forever) π«‘

I don't see any non-technical founders vibe code a sustainable product anytime soon.
But technical founders will 10x.
Causing rerenders that lead to duplicate API calls, or fetching data already in the state.
Someone who is not technical would not notice anything, because the above are simply performance issues, issues that unfortunately pile up very fast.
Reality check: vibe coding = huge technical debt.
I'm relying heavily on Claude Code to build Kibo.
As an assistant, it's great, but I cannot give it full autonomy yet.
Despite having access to the entire codebase and enough context, Claude recently made some rookie mistakes:
First update of the quarter π
Respond to Facebook Page messages directly from Kibo!
A lot more on the way ποΈ
P.S. Facebook Pages managed via Business Manager will be supported after yet another app review from Meta π€·π»ββοΈ
Opening our API has been my best business decision to date.
An MCP server built (or maintained) by us will be the second-best.
For now, you can use this open-source MCP server from /alexkess

I also pay strangers to post about us ...

Around $8K was the payout for March π€―
Epic, epic storyline!
I gave the team a $20K bonus just for posting on socials π€―
When words don't inspire β¦ cash usually does.
Is it worth it?
I don't know. I don't really care tbh.
Sales are on π₯
And for the first time, I'm not the only one from the company posting about us.
Plus, I actually enjoy their content ππ»
At what point should I ask Paddle/PayPro Global for volume discount pricing?
We made over $400K in sales last month, from which:
Paddle took a $12K cut and PayPro $13K.
Don't ask why I'm relying on two different MoR, as a third one (Polar) has also been added to the list.
Hopefully, this quarter will be less unpredictable.

I was hoping this was an April's joke.
How safe is using Claude or any 3rd-party AI model in your codebase?
I'm using Claude Code in VS Code solely for new projects.
Never for my main product. Only copying & pasting code snippets on the web version.
172 confirmed beta testers, and growing π
Already helping with bug reports and suggestions.
And honestly, this is the only metric that truly matters in a new startup.
Not the product itself (still kinda crap, to be honest).
But the community that believes in it π
New: Switch between light and dark mode π
Which team are you:
Linkie light or Linkie dark?

I'm currently watching Sidekiq delete 30,294,251 old media files that were sitting on AWS for no reason.
These are files that I could track back. Who knows how many more are lost in space ...
My kind of Friday night.
Tip of the day: If your app uploads user content to the cloud, make sure that at some point, that content is eventually deleted:
I.e., customer downgrades, replaces their profile picture, deletes their account, etc.
They pile up fast. Very fast!
Nice shortcuts!
β + Enter to add a new post to the thread π
RIP Typefully.
Publer just became the ultimate thread maker for Bluesky, X, Threads (and Mastodon)
Automatically split long text into a thread (with or without AI), add more posts, drag & drop media, wrap the thread.
Crosspost, customize if needed, and preview in real time
All in the same spot π₯
Honest question, do you still read product updates in blog format?
I'm debating swapping them for quick bullet updates.
We did 1, 2, 3, you know, straight to the point, instead of writing essays that serve SEO (?) more than people.
