A GENTLE REMINDER: we are trying to eliminate fossil fuels because using them kills us.

If fossil fuels were cheap (they're not) or reliable (they're SO NOT), it would still be urgent to get rid of them because their intended use destroys our life support systems.

Carney’s ‘Defeatist’ Dismissal of International Law | The Tyee The PM’s doctrine stresses ‘taking the world as it is.’ Critics say it poses ‘reckless’ risk for Canada.

“Exhortations from political leaders like Carney to simply “take the world as it is” condition citizens to believe in inevitability, to conclude that we are without choices and, comfortingly, that we are without responsibilities.”

A strategy I am recommending to people who don’t want to mask all the time is always in healthcare facilities and public transportation, AND if you see someone in a mask, put yours on. The first helps protect spaces high risk people may have no choice but to go, the second shows them support.

How much more evidence do we need? The ultra-rich and the governments supporting them will destroy everything for the sake of profit, power and pride. Nothing is precious to them - not human life, not the living world - except their own wealth and status. Our survival depends on resisting them.

Take action now to stop Bill C-12, which would put our friends and neighbours at risk. Despite outcry from human rights groups, the Bill was rushed through the House.
