Also what saved me - on the day of successful launch, I didn't get featured - I wrote a forum post explaining why I believe we should be featured and wrote to PH support to make me featured ( do not count too much on this, I was very lucky that it worked for me)

I’d recommend launching on Friday, since it is probably a bit less competitive. By launching on weekends you need to be sure that people who will support you, will read ur message over the weekend.

I also wrote to indie hackers build board at the day of launch and it probably helped πŸ€”
There are way more channels where you can share your PH launch.

In the day of launch, try to answer on comments - I think they somehow correlate with the amount of upvotes you get.

To be honest like 70% of success is getting featured, because than you compete with only like 10-20 startups per day.

2nd most important thing is growing your network of people that can potentially support you, depends on the day, but IMHO minimum is 500.

Also read the guidelines about getting featured and check if your product aligns with that - also for sure your product have to be good, if you vibe coded something in a day i don't think you'll ever get featured.

The last time I was launching, I was super active on PH - comments, threads, forums and upvotes - everything should be real, especially comments - do not add generic ones(e.g. congrats on the launch, it doesn't work).

It is now waaay harder to launch than a year-2 ago. From what I experienced with launching BlogBowl the hardest thing is to get featured - I was relaunching 4 times until I was finally featured.

Lot's of you asked me to "share tips" on how to get #1 on Product Hunt.

So here are my unstructured notes about launching on PH πŸ‘‡

This is super stupid mistake and I feel bad about not checking it earlier.

So, check you pages guys and make sure full HTML is render and PAY ATTENTION WHEN USING LOTTIES or any other shit that needs document/window.

Press F to pay respect to TopTool...

Google clicks went down, DR went down, my self-esteem went down. I don't know if TopTool will recover from that, I just know that it would surpass $1k MRR in the very close time if it wouldn't happen and probably the traffic would only rise, not decrease.

I fixed that SHIT and HTML started to render correctly on the page. THANKS FUCKING CONFETTI for breaking my app and MRR $$$ 🀯
