First read of 2025! FRONT LINES is the first book in @michaelgrantbks.bsky.social alternate history YA trilogy. It released in 2016 & from the first time I read it, I was fully immersed and totally invested in these soldier girls. It's my 3rd or 4th reread of the trilogy.

It never really got anywhere. Despite out best efforts. It doesn't fit the usual YA tropes (which cute guy should I choose?) or the usual dystopian tropes (tyrannical adults).
