IL state troopers are already pushing non-violent demonstrators out of the street and away from the ICE facility. One arrest so far.
ISP just shoved an elderly woman to the ground. Trooper here declares an unlawful assembly and is screaming at people to stay out of the road (they were...already out of the road).
Heard an officer say "let's do it" and then, in the dark, they tackle Rabbi Ben to the ground. He's being loaded into a CCSO wagon now. Broadview police also here screaming at people.
ISP declares unlawful assembly again via loudspeaker now.
Unsure why since all people are doing right now is standing on the sidewalk where they've been ordered to be.
They're telling people they have to either disperse or return to designated free speech zone.
Everyone is out of the road and either in the ~free speech zone~ or on adjacent corners. Troopers with long batons in the street now. Across the intersection, they are tightly guarding protesters and press from stepping off the sidewalk.
ISP gets in formation and a number of them march away from the intersection, toward the parking lot neighboring the ICE facility (it belongs to a business, not ICE's lot).

This is Brighton Park, the neighborhood where a U.S. Border Patrol agent also shot a woman earlier today. It is a predominantly Latine community on the southwest side.

For a few minutes, periodic arrivals of SUVs. Gregory Bovino, who recently ran deportation operations in the LA area, exited one of them, stood in front of the gate in what appeared to be some sort of stare down. A few paper balls. One man hit with at least 7.
Amid President Trump’s immigration deportation campaign, the loved ones of those detained have been arriving at the Broadview ICE facility desperate for information — only to be turned away with few answers.
JUST NOW — Our reporters are at the Broadview ICE facility (outside of Chicago) where protestors have been demonstrating since 5:00 a.m.
As a cargo van left the facility, a federal agent on the roof started shooting what seems to be pepper balls at protestors just before 9:00 a.m.
