You know when you’re a kid learning to swim and the teacher keeps saying ‘you’re nearly there’ but keeps walking backwards away from you? I feel like that’s where the US is at. If he does x then it’ll be a dictatorship, then he does x and there’s a slightly new ‘but let’s just wait and see’.

This is a turning point. If there is no recourse for not adhering to the rulings of the supreme judicial court, then what even holds society together? Blind trust that people will ‘do the right thing’ doesn’t seem to be enough.
