Hang onto that Kael quote. When times are tough, try to shut out the noise and remember how much you love writing.

So excited about doing this online discussion about what it’s like to have spent over 50 years working together as artists. We’re going to gossip about the arts, maneuvering around each other in the kitchen, and maybe share some recipes…
Out with Tim Wynne-Jones as he visits schools in the Ottawa area. Great that he can bring King of the Dump to Kindergarten classes as part of Ottawa Writers Festival! @groundwoodbooks.bsky.social
So thrilled with this interview in CBI! Joyce Sidman is a huge inspiration to me and I can’t believe we’ve been interviewed for the same article. Check it out at Children’s Book Insider. Only $1 to join, a bargain! @writeforkids.bsky.social @kidscanpress.bsky.social

Thanks to all the readers and listeners!
On December 8, in 1894, James Thurber was born. I grew up reading Thurber. I wish I could say that he turned me into a humorist, but sadly, no. I’m one of the least funny writers on the planet. But his sharp, eccentric characters have stayed with me always. Ta-pockita-pockita, Mr. Thurber!
Congrats! I saw ads for the book all along the Danforth. Good on you!
These are writers to watch!
Really exciting to see the results of the Lanark Literary Competition. I was a juror for the youth category. A privilege to read the works of such fine young writers!

Huge open mouth of a prehistoric shark. Lots of spiked teeth
So great to go to the ROM today and see the new shark exhibit. Fabulously informative as well as dramatic. Love that museum!!!
Great to run into you at the museum today. I’m sure you were percolating new ideas, whereas I was working on seeing the work through the eyes of a 4 year old and could only realize how much more of the world he sees!
HI Abi. I've just joined Bluesky. I sent you an email through Kathleen, but suspect you didn't get it. I LOVE what you did for LOOKING AT THE SKY! Looking forward to working together when the book comes out. I'm pretty excited!
Cover of book A Planet is a Poem showing illustration of sun and planets. Text reads "Shortlisted for the Lane Anderson Award!"
New to Bluesky! Starting it off with the news that my book A Planet is a Poem has been shortlisted for the Lane Anderson Award for Science Writing, youth category. Very Thrilled!
HI Sarah. Huge congratulations on the Lane Anderson. My book, A Planet is a Poem, is nominated in the youth category. I hope to have a chance to meet you in Toronto in January!
