A great few days at the Easter Holiday Programme in St Mungos Academy. The programme is helping tackle food poverty during the holidays while giving young people opportunities to cook meals, enjoy crafts, sports, egg rolling, quizzes & reading time. A warm and supportive space for learning & fun.
A brilliant day for the young people taking part in the Lochend Easter Programme. Our youth worker provided a brilliant day packed with positive experiences. They spent the day at the beach, explored Dunure Castle and enjoyed food and ice cream in the sunshine. Simple moments that mean a lot.☀️🏰
A great first day at our Easter Holiday Programme in Bannatyne House. The young people enjoyed sports, outdoor play, games and arts & crafts. We also provided breakfast and a hot lunch so all the young people are well fed and supported during the school break. A brilliant start to the first week🐣🌟☀️

Our Creative Hands Group learned how to make kokedamas, a traditional Japanese art form that uses soil and moss to shape plant roots 🌿. They also upcycled old coffee jars into vases ♻️. Creative Hands runs every Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:00pm. To get involved email susan.wilson@fare-scotland.org 🎨

Susan, our Community Gardener Facilitator, brought schools, nurseries & childminders together for East End litter picks as part of the @keepscotbeautiful.bsky.social campaign. A total of 86 adults & 51 kids helped clean local areas. 192 young people also learned about caring for our shared spaces.
A busy and creative time in our FARE Scotland Community Allotment. Children are sowing peas and broccoli, planting bulbs and harvesting winter purslane and purple veg. Cherry blossom crafts, spring songs and mud kitchen fun are all bringing learning to life. 🌱✨
Great day hosting pupils from Boclair Academy & Hillhead High School for the GROW programme. They learned about youth work & the services delivered by FARE and COVEY. Then they took part in football & bubble football to get a feel for youth work activities. GROW is removing barriers for young people
A really lovely morning with our adult group yesterday. Tea, biscuits, knitting, and dominos helped everyone relax and chat together. These small moments bring our community together and make a real difference for anyone who may feel isolated.☕🍪🤍

Our learners have been keeping busy with practical & confidence building activities. They've made their own mocktails taken part in customer service tasks and earned their Mental Health First Aid & Emergency First Aid qualifications. Great to see them growing their skills and enjoying the journey.
