I wonder if we should look at writing trends as shifts instead.

With the low-fat trend, we learned that it doesn’t mean low sugar or low calorie. Won’t forget that.

And this protein hype. We’re always going to be aware of its importance. Won’t forget that.

Day 1 of 50 chapters in 50 days revision challenge.

Chapter one needs more than a day and it shows. 2 days at least. Same for chapter two, I think.

It’s the first ten pages. It deserves the extra attention, right?

Hate describing things. This would be like Xmas for me

Hmmm I think as long as it’s foreshadowing and addressed later, it’s all good. Just enough to want me reading more.

There is nothing more satisfying than writing the last line of a chapter and it pulls everything together, like the chapter was a short story in its own right.

I also feel like this. But go with your gut. Sometimes we don’t need to outline but you’ll know when you do!

The first few chapters deserve all that love. But yes that fresh perspective, having written the first draft to the end, mind blowing

I just don’t get it. But maybe like Colleen, who I believe self published, you keep writing and writing and writing and build and fandom and if it’s meant to happen, it does!

When I stop cringing. But seriously. When I love the scene so much I keep rereading it :)

The scariest thing about rewriting my first chapters is that I love them.

They are becoming the yardstick for the rest of my MS.

I’ll add on another 3 months before I’m ready to query..

I write ya but I am on a huge psychological thriller push. To the point I want to write one ..

As I Frankenstein parts of my MS, wishing the arms and legs were still attached to the original torso of my first draft, I forget:

Those parts came from dead bodies.

And now they are alive.

This is me. I need a lot of breaks. I usually fine reading makes me feel like guilty but yep bring me those breaks!
