We will have much to chat about next week with so many favourite foods in common!

She had a lot to say about how much she loves Springwatch, hooray, but she was also still a bit annoyed about not winning Dancing On Ice a few years ago. But she showed us a video of baby elephants playing football!
All the young people from work went to see Kim Gordon last night, but I already had a ticket to see Michaela Strachan talking about her life on the telly so I think it's clear who the coolest person in the office really is!
It definitely rules, a fantastic blend of bolshiness and being stuck in a painfully horrible relationship. And I think she wanted us all to hate the lemons line! Also I once sang it at a work karaoke social and was proclaimed a legend by all millennials in the building.
Two records: a Cliff Richard live album and Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast.
Recent second-hand record purchases. My philosophically inclined co-worker likes to refer to this as "the duality of Jo".
I love parakeets, send them all to me!
It happened! It was hard to follow.
Yes, I always feel quite sorry for them! Surely they applied for a job talking about pop music and it seems a bit much that they suddenly have to be good at endurance sports too.
The original reason I went along was because I had been to a gig where the support band was so terrible that I got through their set by reciting 'Listen to Edward' to myself. It reminded me how great Edward Barton is so I sought him out again. youtu.be/CwbfamtKxSo?...
I went to this gig, with about 50 people in all, and it was about the most magical thing that happened in 2025. I would really like to talk about Edward Barton and Jane every day.
Blimey!
The instructions on the box of wipes I use for my silly dry eyelids insist that I should use an individual wipe for each eye. They're good, but about a quid per wipe! I don't value my eyelids enough.
My show of the year last year - nothing else could compete!
I wore my delightful owl jumper to work today and I am pretty annoyed that the entire office did not down tools and spend the day talking about how great it is.
Thank you Tom! It was great to get involved with the polls again. I'm happy with the outcome - but more importantly, I added 19 songs to my 2025 Super Tunes playlist!
We can reclaim this banger for the forces of good! I'll get back to you with a full plan.
I mean, I didn't even vote for St Etienne, such is the high standard! Though I did vote for two songs that sounded a lot like St Etienne.
There are over 12 good songs in this playlist which means I've actually had to think hard about this! Well done everyone!
This peevish post brought to you by a mild cold, please carry on with your days.
*And* 'Underneath It All', which is even better but apparently my CD single budget had run out by that point. Does Bob Dylan have ragga toasting on his album? I am not interested otherwise!
I am grumpy that most of the obituaries of Sly Dunbar go on about him working on some Bob Dylan album and don't start with the headline information that he produced 'Hey Baby' by No Doubt, a song so awesome that I own it on CD single.
RIP!
Dutifully voting for 'Soda Pop' on behalf of all the under-10s I know who say it is the best KPDH song. But delighted to find a Fred Again song I actually like at long last!
Aw, it's been a while since I've heard a song with people being very excited about being from the Bronx! It makes me feel like it's a very cheery Sesame Street neighbourhood.
I admire Raye's Smash Hits-style approach to capitalisation and punctuation, though she should have gone the whole hog and called it WHERE THE HELL IS MY HUSBAND!!??! 'Golden' has too many squeaky high notes and makes me cross, though it's the only 2025 song I have heard in panto!
I put the snooker on expecting to watch it for about two minutes and then was gripped by the whole thing and am now into snooker. I stand by Kyren and his choice of Dario G! He also understands that they took 'Life in a Northern Town' and elevated it into a higher form of art!
Crush was my immediate favourite so not all is lost!
I had it a lot till I started learning to drive, and then I just had dreams about difficult parking situations instead.
All four of these make me want to bounce around in my office chair, hoorah.
True, they did pinch the tune off ABBA to start with!
