Every time these candidates talk about funds for education without also talking about funds to build up and support safety net programs I want to scream.
They must talk about medicaid expansion, snap increases, AND minimum wage increases if they truly want to see better educational outcomes in GA

1. Firearms are a devastating technology.
2. Advanced LLMs are devastating technology, too.
3. Limit tech that murders.
4. Human users of such tech to murder MUST be held accountable.

Tyler Feder is the first name that pops in my head. I think her style would match your description.

Let's be clear: no one should be taking medical advice from the man who told Americans to inject bleach.

To moms worried about the Tylenol they took while pregnant: you deserve better than being RFK Jr's scapegoat.

And to the autism community: you are loved exactly as you are.

Steve Silberman is so pissed about this Tylenol bullshit that he's screaming from the afterlife he didn't even believe in.

Increased rates of autism are due to testing, a broadened definition, and greater awareness. It's not vaccines. It's not Tylenol.

It's like his work never happened.

How are typical schools defined? High poverty schools?
What does it say about schools that are 45% high high poverty and 45% affluent?
Students can live in high poverty and attend a school with equal numbers of high poverty and affluent students.

Also college football players scheduled to appear on ESPN or ABC should not suit up on Saturday. (This would have an immediate impact)

One side posted that they don't like white supremacists or Christian nationalists.

The other side is threatening to kill people because they said they don't like white supremacists and Christian nationalists.

Stop pretending domestic terrorists and the people they terrorize are the same.

I hope I can live long enough to see Stephen Miller prosecuted, convicted, and sentenced for his numerous crimes against humanity.

I hope we can all see him sniveling and crying as he's taken to prison.

You can condemn murder and political violence without whitewashing Charlie Kirk's shameful history of hate, racism, white nationalism and promotion of dangerous conspiracies that radicalized Trump supporters to violence.

You can do both.

The problem with allowing guns everywhere is that no one is safe anywhere.

A quick search reveals that Jane Yolen has 168 titles in the database. I think the results are limited to only showing up to 200 titles as Nora Roberts 200, James Patterson 200 and Stephen King 200 show exactly 200 titles. Those three are each due over half a million dollars....

Companies have invested billions into AI, 95% getting zero return Many companies are implementing tools like ChatGPT and Copilot, with over 80% having explored or piloted these technologies.

AI is basically a money pit.

There are four main arguments for AI in education:

1. Efficiency, saving teachers time
2. Equity, making education inclusive
3. Improving outcomes by personalizing learning
4. It's inevitable

Is it true?

Nope.

A great companion book is Rebels, Robbers, and Radicals: The Story of the Bill of Rights by @terikanefield.bsky.social
It does for the bill of rights what Fault Lines does for the constitution.

I've found when talking to students (K-5) that the environmental argument is the easiest to grasp. It's way less abstract than the many other reasons AI is the worst. Elementary students are generally horrified to discover how much harm AI does to the earth every time it is used.

"AI" is IT from A Wrinkle in Time.
"Just give in," the AI pushers say. "We can all be together in this. You don't have to think."

Time to hold onto your inner Meg, friends.
