It's hard to imagine the kinds of people capable of doing this. Somewhere someone is pushing a button to kill yet more rescuers. To think there's real human beings commiting these atrocities, and millions more who decide they're fine with it. It's sickening.
Cannot wait. I got to talk to the team behind this in 2023, who told me: "Believe it or not, this is 100% stop-motion, including the explosions and sawdust. We filmed the sawdust separately (tried millions of takes...) and layered the best version with the characters."
Great advice that was given to me by a senior 3d artist:
Never put half-finished assets in a demo. Your client/boss will think they're done. If it's unfinished put an obvious ugly grid texture on it.
Unless there is an exceptionally good reason for not doing it, art placeholders should always look like placeholders.

To an extent, sure. But even in my own lifetime I've seen it worsening.
There's always been people who genuinely care about their customers and have real pride in their work. And there's always been out-of-touch, greedy scumbags.
In my opinion the scumbag ratio in leadership has increased over time.
There used to be, in the distant past, companies that cared about quality, their customers and employees more than their shareholders. Sadly, it sounds unbelievable today, I know.
