Two London shows this week, Walthamstow at Ye Olde Rose and Crown on Sunday 15th, and the next evening, Herga at The Castle Public House, 30 West Street, Harrow on The Hill, HA1 3EF - I’m standing in for one of my all-time heroes, Pete Coe, who is under the weather at the moment. Get well soon Pete!

South west to the Orepool Inn, Coleford tonight for the Forest of Dean folk club. It’s been a while - looking forward to it.

Tomorrow I’m in Leek, Staffs, at The Foxlowe, then on Friday in Stanley, County Durham, at The White Room. Lots more to come!

Thanks to everyone who came along to our gigs in Settle last night and Helmsley the night before. I’m solo at Saltburn Community Theatre next Friday and then joined by The Bad Pennies again next Saturday at The Witham in Barnard Castle. Thanks to John for the colourful pic!

A fine time at Hitchin folk club last night - thanks everybody who came along and to Highworth the night before. Tomorrow night (Tuesday) at Tigerfolk near Loughborough is sold out.

Solo in Highworth near Swindon tonight, a place where I first played for a lovely man called Bill Bailey, years ago. Tonight I’m at The United Reform Church. 7.30.

The late Joe Ely at Calgary Folk Festival about ten years ago. We did a workshop together, then talked for ages about Texas, County Durham and how much we both loved Canada. I look star-struck. I was!
