@motosky New shoes for the CBR, got the wheels off while I had help, Alas only one tyre arrived today but I'm sure the other is in transit. Gives me a chance to service the calipers etc whilst I wait

It's a Mantra here, no lad ever left on the road.
Safe Roads....🙏
Thanks David, he's on his way back..A real Dad and Man who did a lot of things to be proud of, raised his kids and kept house after facing several challenges, one of course his ex wife being a c@$t. We'll have him sorted 🙏
#motosky Just ordered new tyres for the CBR1000F...€221.00. Free Delivery, I think that's great value, In the past I've often paid more. She'll have new shoes for the event in May which is probably the next right spin it'll get.
Agreed, have a friend that's trying to get himself sorted,a bike that he's had all the way through a tough time, a lot of personal sacrifices and selfless decisions. If he'd read that he'd have been insulted, a hard road back to biking don't need that sort of comentary
I've owned one for over 20 years, was my every day transport for a long time. It can take what west and Midland Ireland can throw at it and a your of France and Spain.
I live in Ireland, it can rain in the height of summer....always wear gear
Yes i Tax mine, only getting cheaper to do so now too
Was out a Sunday recently and refilled fuel when id have got home before on the same Tank. This would want to be sorted soon before they make going for a rip a rip off also
#motosky www.rideapart.com/news/791595/... That's some bullshit law, over here a vehicle is declared off the road so you don't get hit for road tax when not using it. What's the point of insuring a vehicle if it's not in use?.
Did it the opposite way around myself
#motosky Fluids checked and topped up,cables and chain adjusted and lubed, removed can and reseated it as it was blowing out. Cleaned calipers and wheels. Overall clean and polish. The older bike requires maintenance but it's great to be able to do all yourself. A great mornings headspace.
#motosky Great to get out, pissed on us earlier in the morning but cleared nicely, only 250 odd kms but still a good head clearance
My home county, biased opinion but I think it's some of the finest biking road in the country
Very handy item, 2Ah battery.
#motosky I use the baglux tank cover and bag on my cbr1000f and absolutely love it, great stability and carries plenty, not a big fan of topboxes. Although its an older system long since improved upon I would like the same for my r1100s BMW. Saw two online eBay or something but they were daft money
I have a compressor but lately bought a battery hand held inflator.....great job, can even be shoved in the tank bag
#motosky Preaching to the choir but... Regular checks of tyre pressure on bikes not in regular use is important, 24psi in rear and 23psi in front on the CBR when I checked this morning😱 back up to 42psi and 33psi now. The BMW was ok. That said, the CBR will have to get new tyres soon.
Fact..
Raeburn, a cracker. Over here it's Stanley ranges, my inlaws have one that's been in use over 50 years, heating home and water. It's getting shook now though, the problem is what to replace it with
Coal fire 🔥🔥 back boiler, heats the whole house. Grew up with one down home so when we bought this house I bought it and it's a savage job. Oil prices not really affecting us because although we have oil heating also we never have it on while the fire is burning
#motosky this is what March in Ireland at the moment, possibility of snow and ice over the next few days..
Known as the er6 here, Ryan Farquar Road racing legend has a Team racing them on the roads, Northwest 200,Skerries,Kell's etc Irish road racing. He developed a class for them and they've become the weapon of choice with quite a few teams
Ptfe tape
I had a few lying around the house so I gave them to local ambulance guys and civil defense for use in training how to remove a helmet safely at the scene of an accident
Absolute cracker of an RT Best of luck with it
This is the weather this morning here...no biking
